Livestock and poultry free-range

With the comprehensive implementation of veterinary system reform, the separation of livestock disease treatment and prevention has been realized, and the prevention and control of livestock diseases has been greatly developed. Because the prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases is not only related to the safe development of animal husbandry, but also related to public health and consumer health and safety, it has been highly valued by relevant departments. However, there are some problems in the breeding process of rural free-range households, which should be carefully analyzed, rectified and improved to improve the level of animal disease prevention and control.

(1) Adhere to the principle of "prevention first, comprehensive prevention".

(2) Strengthen feeding management, reasonably match livestock feed, prohibit feeding moldy feed and expired concentrated feed and pellet feed, drink clean and sanitary water, especially strengthen feeding management for weak livestock and poultry, properly increase concentrate feeding, and ensure feed nutrition. Observe the appetite, defecation and urination of animals at any time. Once abnormal conditions occur, they should be diagnosed quickly. Adhere to self-propagation and autotrophy, reduce the introduction of exotic diseases.

(3) Strictly disinfect. Specific methods: firstly, set up disinfection pool at the entrance of breeding house, change disinfectant frequently; secondly, implement "all-in and all-out", empty pen shall be washed first, then disinfected and ventilated again; thirdly, clean and disinfect the environment of the field every month, and accumulate excrement for fermentation; fourth, disinfect the personnel entering and leaving including keepers, and prohibit irrelevant personnel from entering the breeding area.

(4) Establish scientific immunization procedures. In spring and autumn, foot-and-mouth disease, swine fever and other vaccines shall be given, poultry shall be vaccinated against avian influenza, avian cholera, chicken Newcastle disease and other vaccines. Other vaccines shall be determined by local veterinary stations according to the occurrence of epidemic diseases in the past.
