In May and June every year, peach trees have yellow and fallen leaves, and some new leaves turn white as soon as they appear. This is mostly caused by iron deficiency in peach trees. Iron deficiency in peach trees, also known as yellow leaf disease, chlorosis and so on, if not timely control, peach yield is low, peach trees will die.

Reasons for iron deficiency: soil pH, dry humidity, fertilizer habits, etc., fruit growers should understand the causes of iron deficiency in peach trees and prescribe the right medicine.

Reason 1: soil consolidation, lack of oxygen in the root. Most of the yellow-leaf peach trees are lack of intertillage, the soil is not loose, the air permeability is poor, and the roots are seriously anoxic, resulting in peach roots can not normally inhale oxygen and iron deficiency.

The second reason is that there is less water and the soil is dry. It had not rained thoroughly for a long time, the water on the ground evaporated, the salt was concentrated on the surface of the soil, and the absorption of iron by peach trees was inhibited.

Reason 3: the salinity is too high. Alkaline soils are prone to iron deficiency.

Reason 4: improper fertilization. Too much carbon, ammonia and phosphate fertilizer and too much nitrogen and phosphorus will also affect the iron absorption of peach trees.

Prevention and control measures:

Improve the soil. After topdressing peach trees, apply 2kg no-tillage fertilizer per mu, and pour enough water after topdressing. During topdressing, organic fertilizer or no-tillage fertilizer is applied properly, resulting in the increase of soil organic matter content, the change of soil physical and chemical properties and the release of fixed iron.

Irrigation to reduce alkali. The peach tree was irrigated once to settle the saline-alkali floating on the surface of the soil and adjust the pH.

Artificial iron supplement. Each peach tree was sprayed with 40 grams of chelated iron + 50 grams of Lan Jian (trace elements) and 20-30 kilograms of water at the edge of the peach canopy, and the effect was remarkable; it could also be sprayed with 0.3-0.4% ferrous sulfate solution or 0.1-0.2% chelated iron solution + 4000-fold solution Shuofeng 481. foliar spraying was carried out once every 5-7 days for 2-3 times.
