At present, a bumper wheat harvest is in sight to ensure the high yield of wheat at the right time.
At present, a bumper wheat harvest is in sight, and timely harvest is the last key link to capture the high yield of wheat. The harvest is too early, the grain is not full, the yield is low and the quality is poor. Due to respiration and Rain Water leaching, wheat grain protein content and carbohydrate content, 1000-grain weight, bulk density and flour yield decreased too late, so it was easy to drop grains in the field and sprout on spikes in case of rain, and some wheat were easy to break stalks and ears, resulting in a decrease in yield and quality.
Wheat
Maturity is the main basis for determining the harvest time of wheat. The ripening stage can be divided into milk mature stage, wax mature stage and full mature stage. The stage of milk ripening and wax ripening can be divided into three stages: the early stage, the middle stage and the last stage, which are determined according to the color and water content of wheat plant and grain. In the milky stage of wheat, the stems and leaves gradually change from green to yellowish green, and the grains contain milky substances. At the end of milk stage, the volume and fresh weight of wheat grain reached the maximum, the grain color turned yellowish, the groin was green, and the grain moisture content was about 4550%. The grain inclusion in the wax ripening stage was waxy, and the hardness changed from soft to hard with the ripening stage. At the early stage of wax ripening, the leaves of wheat were yellow but not dry, the grain was light yellow, the groin was chlorotic, there was no pulp in the grain, and the grain water content was 3035%. In the middle stage of wax ripening, the lower leaves of wheat are dry and yellow, the stem is elastic, the grain turns yellow, full and moist, and the seed water content is 25%. At the end of wax ripening, the whole plant turns yellow, the stem is still elastic, the grain is slightly hard, and the water content is 20-25%. At the full ripening stage, the leaves withered and yellow, the grains hardened, showing the true color of the variety, and the water content was less than 20%.
The most suitable wheat harvest stage is from the end of wax ripening to the full ripening stage. If the planting area of wheat is large and can not be harvested in the most suitable period, it must be harvested early, so as to ensure that most of the wheat can be harvested in the appropriate period. Manual harvesting and mechanical harvesting should be carried out from the middle to the end of wax ripening. When using the combine harvester to harvest wheat directly, it should be carried out from the end of the wax maturity to the full ripening stage. Leave the wheat fields to be harvested at full maturity. If the rainy season is approaching, or easy to drop grains, broken stalks, broken ears, panicle sprouting and other reasons, the harvest time of wheat should be advanced appropriately.
