Raising pigs

In the process of diagnosis and treatment of pig diseases, many farmers will use drugs according to the symptoms of diseased pigs, such as antidiarrheal drugs when they see diarrhea in pigs and antipyretic drugs when they see pigs with fever. Many people do not further consider the need for treatment. They often take symptomatic treatment. In fact, this choice of medication is wrong, and may lead to the deterioration of the disease. Therefore, drugs should be carefully selected for the treatment of diseased pigs in production.

1. Safe use of drugs

When choosing therapeutic drugs, it is best to choose drugs with less side effects and less residue, and there is no need for illegal drugs. If streptomycin is used in conjunction with gentamicin and kanamycin, the residual pork products will cause damage to the auditory nerve center after human consumption. Therefore, these drugs have provisions on drug withdrawal period, and full attention must be paid to the market date of animals and their products when using drugs, so as to prevent "drug residues" from causing hidden dangers to consumers' health. Do not use prohibited drugs, expired drugs, deteriorating drugs, fake inferior drugs and phase-out drugs, because these drugs not only have no preventive effect, but also cause drug resistance and drug residues in pigs, endangering the health of consumers.

2. Rational use of drugs

First of all, it is necessary to prescribe the right medicine to control the dosage and the best time of medication. The use of drugs must be in line with the needs of the disease and be symptomatic. Do not ignore the health of pigs for the sake of curative effect, and indirectly affect the health of consumers. Choose and use drugs scientifically and reasonably according to the disease. Strict dosage. The dosage is too small to achieve the therapeutic effect and purpose. The dosage should not be too large. Excessive dosage will not only cause drug waste, but also cause drug damage. Excessive use of antibiotics will also cause drug resistance of pathogenic microorganisms and bring difficulties to prevention and treatment. In general, the earlier the use of drugs, the better, especially for microbial infectious diseases, early use of drugs can quickly and effectively control the disease. However, for diarrhea caused by bacillary dysentery, it is not appropriate to stop diarrhea prematurely, because prematurely stop diarrhea will make the bacteria can not be eliminated in time, making it multiply in large numbers in pigs, the result is not only not conducive to the improvement of the disease, but will cause more serious diarrhea. Generally, symptomatic drugs should not be used early, because early use of these drugs can relieve symptoms, but objectively damage the protective response function of pigs, cover up the truth of the disease, and bring difficulties to diagnosis and prevention.

3. Effective use of drugs

To fully take into account the characteristics of drugs to choose a reasonable way of administration, such as internal administration of drugs that are not easy to absorb should be taken by injection. For example, some bitter stomach-strengthening drugs, such as gentian tincture and nux vomica tincture, can only be taken orally to stimulate taste buds, reflexively improve the excitability of the food center, strengthen the secretion of saliva and gastric juice, and give full play to the efficacy of drugs. If the drug is administered through a gastric tube, and the drug goes directly into the stomach without going through the mouth, it will not play the role of invigorating the stomach. In addition, pay attention to the effective concentration of the drug. The effective concentration of kanamycin was maintained for 12 hours after intramuscular injection. Therefore, the interval between continuous intramuscular injection of kanamycin should be less than 10 hours. Penicillin powder injection should be repeated every 6 hours, while the oil procaine penicillin can be used once every 24 hours.

4. Pay attention to the incompatibility between drugs

In the use of drugs, we should also pay attention to whether there are taboos between various drugs, we must pay attention to this problem, such as acidic drugs and alkaline drugs can not be mixed, the efficacy will be reduced or lost, mixed use is prohibited; antibiotics and adsorbents should be banned when oral live bacterial preparations are used; sulfonamides are combined with vitamin C to produce precipitation Sulfadiazine sodium injection and most antibiotics will produce turbidity, precipitation or discoloration, should not be mixed, should be used alone.
