Drinking water in winter should pay attention to the following points:

The temperature of the water should not be too low. Chicken drinking cold water can reduce the laying rate and increase feed consumption, and the water temperature is generally 10 ℃-20 ℃. If possible, you can put a large container of water in the chicken coop to raise the water temperature.

The amount of water in the sink is appropriate. There should not be too much water in the sink to avoid frostbite. For a flat chicken house, the drinking water tank must have a device to prevent chickens from entering the tank.

Make sure the drinking water is clean. The drinking water of chickens should be clean and hygienic, and the sink should be cleaned frequently.

Provide an adequate supply of drinking water. The water requirement of chicken is generally twice as much as that of feed, but the actual demand is often affected by air temperature and the type of feed, so it is necessary to provide sufficient drinking water to let chickens drink freely.
