Layer breeding

Since the beginning of winter, many chickens in chicken farms have respiratory symptoms such as cough, head swinging and snoring, accompanied by white or green feces, which need comprehensive treatment in order to achieve a better therapeutic effect.

Susceptible flocks: mainly affected 150-240-day-old laying hens and 20-40-day-old chicks, although other days of chickens are also susceptible to infection, but the symptoms are not very obvious, the main clinical manifestations are the decrease of laying rate and mild respiratory symptoms.

Clinical symptoms: at the initial stage, the eggshell color became lighter, soft shell eggs or sand-preserved eggs appeared, and the laying rate did not change, followed by one or more chickens coughing and sneezing, and if not treated in time, the whole flock would be affected within 2-3 days. Chickens showed symptoms such as loss of appetite and lethargy, followed by a decline in egg production rate, and some egg production rates decreased by more than 50%, and white or green feces were excreted.

Autopsy symptoms: bleeding in cecum and tonsil, bleeding in duodenum and small intestine, no obvious change in glandular stomach, black blood filaments or rupture of follicles, and bleeding spots in individual coronal fat.

Treatment: in view of the current situation of abnormal climate change in the near future, the fever should be reduced first, the salpingitis and follicular rupture caused by fever should be relieved, and the reproductive system should be protected as much as possible. the traditional Chinese medicine Jingfangbaidu Powder and Qingwen Baidu Powder should be treated with 0.5 g / mixed feed, and if the feed intake is reduced, it can be treated with juice drinking water and residue mixed feed. Combined with the use of amoxicillin, astragalus polysaccharides and other drinking water treatment to reduce symptoms and improve resistance; egg-increasing drugs and cod liver oil were added immediately after the chickens returned to normal feeding to restore the egg laying rate as soon as possible.
