To improve milk production, feeding dairy cows with juicy feed is an extremely important technical measure.

Sugar beet: sugar beet dry matter contains 5%-6%, protein 1%-2%, crude fiber 1.7%, nitrogen-free extract about 9%. When feeding, it should be washed and chopped first, and each cow can be fed 30 kg-40 kg per day. Beet feed should not be kept too long to avoid nitrite formation and cow poisoning.

Beet pulp: Fresh beet pulp contains 90% water, 0.9% crude protein, 0.1% crude fat, 2.6% crude fiber, 3.5% nitrogen-free extract, but does not contain carotene and vitamin D. Feeding beet pulp can provide dairy cows with essential fillers. Beet pulp can be fed 3 kg-5 kg per cow per day.

Potato: Potato contains 22% dry matter, 1.6% crude protein, 0.1% crude fat, 0.7% crude fiber and 18.7% nitrogen-free extract on average. Every 3.5 kg-4 kg potato is equivalent to 1 kg of cereal matter, and about 80% of the dry matter is starch, easy to digest, but lack methionine, calcium, phosphorus and carotene, etc., is a typical water-rich carbohydrate concentrate, but also one of the main feeds for dairy cows. Feed each cow 20 kg-26 kg daily, and pay attention to protein, mineral and vitamin supplements in the diet.
