Crassulaceae plants are distributed in most areas of the Northern Hemisphere, with a wide variety of species, about 35 genera and 1500 species, 10 genera and more than 240species in China, and many others have been introduced as ornamental flowers. The undergraduate plants are perennial fleshy herbs that bloom in summer and autumn with small and luxuriant flowers in a variety of colors. The epidermis has wax powder, stomatal subsidence, can reduce transpiration, is a typical xerophyte, strong asexual fecundity, the so-called leaf picking can plant roots. Crassulaceae plants are short, because they are fleshy and consume little water and fertilizer, so they are easy to plant and watch. Crassulaceae plants have become the first choice of roof greening because of their short resistance to wind, no need for a lot of water and fertilizer, and resistance to pollution.

Succulent plants that have completely entered the dormant state are given water once a month, and this mode of water supply is different from the normal watering mode, using a soaking pot to replenish water, submerging the flowerpot into the water where the water level is less than half the height of the flowerpot for a few seconds, there is no need to soak, just an environment with a little water vapor. Sedum is succulent in summer, the key points in maintenance: dormancy, ventilation, watering and sunshade. Shanghai's summer is marked by the plum rainy season in mid-June. Succulent varieties that are dormant in summer usually go dormant since June, and dormant plants should be placed in indoor or outdoor shade with astigmatism and ventilation.

Sedum is a succulent plant, also known as long-growing grass, Guanyin lotus, Buddha lotus, is one of the most common varieties of succulent plants can be called the king of general goods. Guanyin lotus leaf shape is peculiar, the leaf vein is clear and unique, more shade-resistant, more suitable for indoor layout. In the spring and autumn growing season, Guanyin lotus can apply mature thin liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer with low nitrogen and high phosphorus and potassium every 10 days. Fertilizer and water should be light rather than thick, too much is easy to cause fertilizer damage. The content of nitrogen fertilizer in compound fertilizer should not be too much, too much is easy to make the plant grow too much. Guanyinlian does not have high requirements for soil, but it is suitable for fertile and loose sandy loam. It can be mixed with rotten leaf soil, coarse sand and vermiculite at the proportion of 2:1:1, and a small amount of plant ash and bone powder are added as base fertilizer.

In fact, because everyone's maintenance environment is different, the semi-dormant succulent plant can adjust the watering interval according to its state, usually supply water once every 2-3 weeks, and still use the above-mentioned immersion method. Immersion time can be slightly longer than fully dormant plants (time should not be too long). Normally, I water the succulent plant four to five days before the rainy season, and then move into the enclosed balcony after three to four days of outdoor ventilation. If the dew mode can cover the rain, then the whole plum rainy season can continue to be dewy. Because of the limited conditions, I moved the succulent plants indoors for maintenance after the rainy season. There was no watering during the whole rainy season, but I just kept the windows open for a few hours every day.

Most of the succulent plants of crassulaceae prefer the environment with low temperature (about 5-18 degrees), large temperature difference and sufficient sunshine. The high temperature and humidity in summer often turn the succulent leaves of crassulaceae into pieces of "jelly". The high temperature in summer is really a major killer of Sedum. In addition to strengthening ventilation, we have to start with the cultivation medium. In addition to adjusting the medium, another key point is watering. During the winter growth period, watering thoroughly once, and then watering again when the medium is eight minutes dry; during the summer dormancy period, it is necessary to wait until the medium is completely dry before watering, and only half water is given and try to avoid handing over to the plant itself, watering time is as far as possible after the sun father-in-law comes home, and it is not watered on rainy days or when the air humidity is on the high side.

After the rainy season, for those plants that are full of pots, it is recommended to supply water from the bottom by soaking the basin, but the soaking time should not be too long, it would rather not be enough or too much, and the environment should be kept dry after the water supply to avoid stagnant water in the potted soil. flowerpots with impermeable or relatively small bottom holes can use sticks or stones to erect the bottom, so that drainage holes on the ground to enhance air permeability. Watering should not be fixed at a fixed time. If the soil layer is six or seven centimeters long, then the surface layer can be watered when two centimeters are dry. That is to say, the underlying soil has 40 to 50 percent moisture. If you are not sure, you should insert a toothpick inside and keep abreast of the soil moisture. Winter watering can be in the sunny noon, spring and autumn evening or early morning watering (more recommended in the evening), when the sun comes out, the soil is already dry, avoid moisture too heavy and stuffy steaming, summer water control, water supply can be in the cool and sunny evening.
