Grass carp

Spring and summer season, the water temperature rises, the water is easy to breed a variety of pathogens, so this season is easy for fish disease season, if not prevented, it is easy to induce fish disease. Especially grass carp, the morbidity and mortality is high and the loss is great. Now we will popularize the symptoms and prevention methods of the three main diseases of grass carp:

First, Gill rot disease: it was prevalent from April to October, and the disease was the most serious during the period from the Beginning of Autumn to the Autumn Equinox. The gills of diseased grass carp are congested and rotten; the skylight is opened at the edge of the gills, and the mucus sticks to the Gill filaments, resulting in Gill obstruction and asphyxiation and death of diseased fish.

Prevention and treatment: sprinkle the whole pool with 1 mg / kg bleach.

Second, enteritis is generally prevalent from May to October. The diseased fish had dilated abdomen, erythema, protrusion, redness and swelling, abdominal microvascular congestion, thrombus formation and mucosal overflow. The disease makes the mortality rate of grass carp aged 1-2 years as high as 50% to 90%.

Prevention and control methods: 1 mg / kg bleach or 30-40 kg quicklime is used to sprinkle the whole pool; 250 grams of garlic, 200 grams of salt and 54 kg of bait are used for every 10,000 fish species or 50 kg adult fish, preferably mixed with dry noodles for a week.

Third, water mildew: it is easy to become popular in early spring. Diseased grass carp body surface local scale fall off, surface body moldy or long hair; swimming disorder, loss of appetite, gradually emaciated and then died. This is mainly due to the injury of grass carp caused by fishing, transportation and stocking in winter and spring, which leads to the local shedding of scales and the invasion of the disease.

Prevention and control methods: in the process of fishing, transportation and stocking, special attention should be paid to protecting the fish from injury; 5% salt water can be used to wash the fish for 5-10 minutes when releasing grass carp fingerling (the washing time can be determined according to the air temperature and the bearing capacity of the fish). Sprinkle the whole pond with 30-40 kg of quicklime per mu.
