In addition to the influence of age, breed and feeding management, reasonable feeding is also the key link to improve the egg production of goose. Then when is the best time to feed the goose? The following is an introduction to you by the editor of Green Food Network:

Goose

1. Look at the replenishment of fat feelings.

For the overfed goose, a large amount of fat is deposited around the ovary and fallopian tube of the goose, and the secretory function of the goose is maladjusted, which hinders the production and operation of the egg cells. as a result, the laying rate of the goose is greatly reduced, or even stopped laying. The female goose is too thin, lack of nutrition, and the laying rate is obviously reduced or even stopped. For over-fat geese, concentrate feed should be appropriately reduced or stopped, and the exercise or grazing time of captive fat geese should be increased appropriately. For the lean goose, the amount of concentrate feed should be increased in time, the protein content in the goose diet should be increased, and the egg-laying goose should be given one or two times concentrate feed in the evening.

2. Look at the state of stool replenishment

If the goose excretion is thick, soft, strip-shaped, the surface is shiny, gently poking can be divided into several sections, indicating that the nutrition is moderate and the digestion is normal. If the excrement is strong and small, the color is black, and after gently poking the feces, the cross section becomes granular, indicating that the concentrate feed to the goose is too much, the green feed is too little, the nutrition level of the feed is high, the goose is not easy to absorb, causing indigestion of geese, the proportion of concentrate feed should be reduced and the proportion of green feed should be increased. If the feces discharged by geese are light in color and unshaped, they will spread out as soon as they are discharged, indicating that the amount of concentrate feed is insufficient, the amount of green feed is too much, and the nutrition in the feed is not enough, so concentrate feed should be supplemented.

3. Look at the shape and weight of the egg

Laying geese need twice as much carbohydrates, fats and proteins as non-laying geese, but need more substances and vitamins.

Generally speaking, the total diet of egg-laying geese is 150g to 300g. If the feed nutrients of egg-laying geese are insufficient, the eggshell will become thinner, the egg shape will vary, and the egg will be smaller. When this situation is found, protein-rich feeds such as fish meal, peanut cake and bean cake must be added, the content of crude protein in the diet of egg-laying geese must be increased to 22%, the feeding amount of geese should be increased to 300 grams per day, and mineral feed should be added to the diet appropriately.
