In the process of raising cows, many farmers will find that they care about their cows far more than others, but their own cows do not produce as much milk as other cows, because it is possible that you have violated the taboos of cows. What are the taboos of the cow? How should we avoid these taboos? The editor of Green Food Network is here to help you solve the problem.

Cow

First, extensive feeding and management. Farmers raise dairy cows as yellow cattle, and the coarse fodder for dairy cows is mainly wheat straw, dry corn straw, leaves, rice straw, and so on, while the fine fodder is mainly the "triple noodles" of soybean meal, wheat bran and corn flour, resulting in a serious lack of nutrition for dairy cows. as a result, the cows are paralyzed after delivery, non-estrus, dystocia, placenta and so on.

Second, add too much salt to the concentrate. In order to make cows drink more water and produce more milk, farmers even add 3-4% salt to the concentrate feed of dairy cows. In this way, the burden on the kidneys of dairy cows is very easy to increase, and the dairy cows have the phenomenon of salt poisoning. The most reasonable thing is to control the proportion of salt in cow concentrate feed at 0.7-0.8%. In order to solve the problem of lack of salt in cow concentrate feed, the trough with salt or salt-licking bricks can be set in the cow playground for cows to lick freely.

Third, the first mating of dairy cows is small. For the first mating of dairy cows to achieve both sexual maturity and physical maturity, the age should be 18-20 months and the body weight should be about 380 kg. Many farmers do not pay attention to the feeding and management of dairy cows in the breeding period. At the age of 18 months, the weight of dairy cows is only between 250 and 300 kilograms, which will often cause dystocia.

Fourth, carry out predatory milking. The drying period of dairy cows is usually about 60 days. Affected by the factors such as milk yield, feeding level, parity, fat condition and age, the drying period of dairy cows should be appropriately prolonged or shortened, but the shortest drying period should not be less than 45 days. Some farmers carry out predatory milking, milking until the cow does not produce milk only for immediate benefit, but I do not know that the negative effect is serious; first, the nutrition in the cow is overconsumed, affecting the development of the fetus in the body and the lactation of the cow in the next lactation cycle; second, it causes the disorder of the sexual cycle of dairy cows, and the oestrus is not obvious or late after calving.

The fatter the cow, the better. Many farmers think that the fatter the cows are, the more milk they produce, and they increase the amount of concentrate feed during the dry period, resulting in overweight cows. There are also some farmers who add more refined feed just to make the cows produce more milk. In fact, this can easily lead to weakening of rumination, forestomach relaxation and acidosis in dairy cows. The cow is not the fatter the better, the best is seven or eight fattening.
