Spring is the best season for the survival and spread of many viruses and bacteria. Coupled with the poor feeding conditions and low management level of farmers' chickens, chickens are often in a harsh environment of hypoxia, low temperature, high humidity, high carbon dioxide and high ammonia, and their disease resistance is reduced. A variety of infectious diseases are also found.

Chicken

First, egg drop syndrome. It often occurs in the peak period of laying eggs or the rising period of laying eggs, and it is often seen in natural conditions such as a sudden drop in temperature. The egg production of chickens decreased by about 20%, and some even decreased by 40%. The symptoms of egg drop syndrome are similar to respiratory syndrome, and the etiology is related to virus infection, drug side effects, improper feed or feeding, stress factors and so on.

Prevention and treatment measures: in addition to vaccination against egg drop syndrome and strengthening comprehensive health care, other prevention and treatment methods are similar to respiratory syndrome.

Second, broiler ascites syndrome. It is common in 4-5-week-old chickens, and the incidence rate is generally 3%-5%. It is the most serious disease in broilers in winter and spring. The diseased chicken had a dilated abdomen, purple head and face, dyspnea, and gradually died of exhaustion.

The disease is a multi-cause disease, among which cold, high ammonia concentration, chronic hypoxia, genetic factors, feeding high-energy feed, rapid growth rate, nutritional factors (such as lack of selenium, vitamin C, phosphorus) and poisoning (such as salt, drugs) are the main pathogenic factors of ascites syndrome.

Prevention and control measures: 1. Improve the breeding environment. Pay attention to keeping the chickens warm and ventilate the henhouse as much as possible. two。 Reasonable collocation of feed. The energy content of the feed should not be too high, salt should not be excessive, calcium and phosphorus should be balanced, and vitamins (especially vitamin E, vitamin C) and sodium bicarbonate (0.2%) should be properly supplemented. 3. Early feed restriction. Broilers can be fed 90% of the normal diet in 2-3 weeks. 4. Reduce stress reaction and prevent poisoning. In particular, it is necessary to prevent the feeding of drugs such as sulfonamides and furans that are more toxic than the operation of the kidney and liver; the dosage of aminoglycosides, quinolones and other antibiotics should not be too large; to prevent feeding mildew and spoilage feed. 5. Ascites syndrome is often complicated with colibacillosis or chronic respiratory disease, you can choose amoxicillin (10g / 100kg water) or ampicillin, ciprofloxacin (5g 10g / 100kg water) antibiotics to prevent secondary infection.

Third, swollen head syndrome. It is an infectious disease caused by avian pneumonia virus and secondary to colibacillosis. Broilers, broiler breeders and commercial laying hens all occur, and it is common in broilers. Around the diseased corns, the head and face, and even the lower jaw are swollen, and there are head shaking, torticollis and other neurological symptoms.

Prevention and control measures: 1. Improve the breeding environment. We can refer to the improvement measures of ascites syndrome in broilers mentioned above. two。 Prevent secondary infection of Escherichia coli bacteria. Ciprofloxacin, ampicillin or sulfamethoxine (0.03%) can be selected for treatment, which can be appropriately combined with some antiviral drugs. 3. Immune. Attenuated vaccine (1-day-old spray) or inactivated vaccine can be used for immunization.
