Rice negative mud worm is one of the main rice pests in northern China, which has a high incidence in the seedling stage, and the most serious damage period is from late June to early July. When the larvae or adults of negative mud insects feed on rice leaves, many white stripes are formed on the damaged rice leaves. In serious cases, the whole leaves and even the whole rice field leaves turn white, resulting in slow growth, short plants, reduced tillers and damaged seedlings, even if they can be revived. Rice growth and yield were also affected in the later stage.

I. Agricultural prevention and control

The main results are as follows: 1. The elimination of weeds by the roadside and the edge of ditches and ponds in paddy fields can eliminate the overwintering negative mud insects and reduce the damage of paddy fields.

2. After most of the eggs in the paddy field have been hatched, the larvae lurking on the rice leaves will be swept into the water with a broom every morning for 3-4 days with good results.

3. Transplanting rice seedlings early and cultivating strong seedlings can avoid the harm of rice negative mud insects.

II. Chemical control

Spraying should be carried out when the rice grain of the larva is large and tends to be aggravated. The following potions can be selected:

1. 90% crystal trichlorfon, 1500-2250 g per hectare of rice field, plus water spray.

2. 80% dichlorvos EC, 15002250 mL per hectare of rice field, plus water spray;

3. 50% fenitrothion EC, 1125-1500 mL per hectare of rice field, water spray

4. 2.5% enemy killed EC, 300,450 mL per hectare of rice field, plus water spray

5. 2.5% Kung Fu EC, 300,450 mL per hectare of rice field, plus water spray.
