Because the feed contains hormones and other chemicals that are not good for the human body, people now like to choose ducks that grow up on natural green material. Today, the editor introduces you to three kinds of forage grass suitable for feeding ducks.

Alfalfa

1. Alfalfa: the yield of alfalfa varies greatly due to different growth years and natural conditions. the yield of fresh grass and hay per mu 2-5 years after sowing is generally 2000-4000 kg and 500-800 kg respectively. Alfalfa stems and leaves are rich in carotene, minerals, vitamins and proteins, especially in leaves. In the fresh and tender state of alfalfa, the weight of leaves accounts for about 50% of the whole plant of alfalfa, and the content of crude protein in leaves is 1-1.5 times higher than that of stems, but the content of crude fiber is more than half that of stems. The total nutrients digested by grasses of the same area are only 1/2 of alfalfa, 1/3 of digestible protein and 1/6 of minerals.

Ryegrass

Second, ryegrass: ryegrass crude protein 4.93%, crude fat 1.06%, nitrogen-free extract 4.57%, calcium 0.075%, phosphorus 0.07%. The contents of crude protein and crude fat in ryegrass were 3 times higher than those in local weeds.

Chicory

Third, chicory: because of heat-clearing and detoxification, diuresis and detumescence, chicory can be used as traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of damp-heat jaundice, glomerulonephritis edema, epigastric pain, loss of appetite and so on. The leaves of chicory are fresh, juicy and nutritious. The crude protein content of chicory in leaf cluster stage is 22.87%, and the crude protein content of chicory in early flowering stage is 14.73%, with an average of 17%. The crude protein yield is up to 250kg/ mu. Chicory at early flowering stage contains 2.1% crude fat and 30.6% crude fiber. The content of amino acids in chicory is also very rich, and the content of 9 essential amino acids in chicory in foliage stage is higher than that in alfalfa meal, and the contents of vitamin, carotene and calcium are rich. Chicory has good palatability and high utilization, and ducks especially like to eat it.
