In order to save feed, some livestock farmers will use some of their own plants as livestock feed. These green plants are supposed to be better than those fine fodder, hormone-free nutrition is more comprehensive and so on, but livestock farmers must be aware that some of these plants cannot be raw and fed. Today, the editor gives you several common feeds that cannot be fed raw:

Raw pea

First, raw peas. There are two harmful substances in raw peas: 1, antitrypsin, which can inhibit the protease catalysis and decomposition of proteins in livestock; 2, trigonelline, which can damage the central nervous system of livestock. However, after heating treatment, the above two toxins can be eliminated. So feed the livestock heated peas.

Raw soybean

Raw soybeans (including soybeans and black beans). Raw soybean, soybean meal, soybean cake and cake contain three harmful substances. They are: (1) antitrypsin, which can inhibit protease catalysis and decomposition of proteins in livestock; (2) phytohemagglutinin, which can reduce blood cells and heme content; and (3) urease, it will decompose protein and urea in livestock to produce ammonia and stimulate the digestive tract. The methods of heating, cooking and stir-frying can detoxify these three harmful substances. So feed the livestock ripe soybeans.

Broad bean

Third, broad beans. Raw broad bean contains two harmful substances: antitrypsin and pyrimidine glycoside. Boiled broad beans can get rid of these two harmful substances. So feed the livestock boiled broad beans.

Bean dregs

Fourth, bean dregs. There are antinutrients in tofu residue, so it is necessary to heat tofu dregs for about 15 minutes to destroy the antinutrients, and then feed them to enhance palatability and improve the absorption and utilization of protein. Bean curd dregs should be matched with other feeds and should not be fed alone, and the amount of feed should not exceed 1/3 of the total feed. At the same time, it is also necessary to supplement the minerals in the feed and feed the livestock with some green and succulent feed to meet the needs of minerals and vitamins.

Cotton leaf

Fifth, cottonseed cakes and cotton leaves. Gossypol and cyclopropylene fat are two main harmful substances in untreated cottonseed cake and cotton leaves. 1, gossypol, will damage the nervous system, blood vessels and organ cells, after entering the digestive tract of livestock will cause gastroenteritis; 2, cyclic propylene fat, will shrink the ovaries and fallopian tubes of female livestock, affecting the reproductive capacity of livestock. These two harmful substances can be disposed of: (1) dry heat after crushing and cooking for 1 / 2 hours; (2) the cotton leaves should be cleaned before feeding and soaked in 2%-3% lime water for 10 hours before feeding; (3) they can be soaked in ferrous sulfate powder for disinfection.

If you are going to feed your livestock with the above feed, please first treat the feed in accordance with the above method to avoid damage to the livestock.
