Enteritis is one of the most serious diseases of grass carp, which occurs in all farming areas of the country. The epidemic season and degree of grass carp enteritis will vary with climate change. The onset season of 1-2-year-old grass carp is from April to September, and that of grass carp is from July to September. The average mortality rate of grass carp enteritis is 50%, and the mortality rate of grass carp in seriously ill ponds can reach more than 90%.

Grass carp

The pathogen of enteritis of grass carp was identified as Aeromonas punctata. The suitable growth temperature of the bacteria is 25 degrees and can grow in the range of PH 6-12. The bacteria will die at temperatures above 60 degrees Celsius.

Symptoms: grass carp with enteritis have erythema in the abdomen, redness and swelling outside the anus, gently press the grass carp abdomen with hands, and some pus-like blood-like material overflows from the anus of grass carp. The abdomen of the diseased fish was opened and the abdominal cavity was filled with effusion. it was obvious that the intestinal wall of grass carp was reddish brown and the microvessels were congested or ruptured.

Prevention and treatment

Prevention: (1) thoroughly clean and disinfect the pond and keep the water quality clean.

(2) feeding fresh feed instead of metamorphic feed is the key to prevent enteritis of grass carp.

(3) when fish fingerling is released, wash it with 8ml-10ml bleach for half an hour.

(4) during the onset season, every half a month, sprinkle bleach or quicklime around the grass carp feeding ground for disinfection.

(5) during the onset season, every half a month, fish Kang An or B-I was mixed into the feed and fed for 2-3 days. When preventing grass carp enteritis, the dosage of fish Kang An or B-I was half of the treatment dose.

Treatment: (1) fish taking Kang An or B-I type. For internal use, 200 grams of Kang An or 100 grams of B-I for every 100 kg of grass carp.

(2) sulfa guanidine or sulfadiazine. Take orally, 10 grams per 100 kg of grass carp on the first day and 5 grams per day on days 2-6.

(3) gram-sensitive type A. Orally, every 100 kg of grass carp was fed with 100g of ketoximin A, once a day, 4 days as a course of treatment.
