The henhouse is often equipped with toxic gases such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane and so on. In large-scale chicken farms, these gases not only pollute the environment of chicken sheds, but also lead to disease or decline in production performance of chickens, which greatly reduces the efficiency of chicken production. Now the editor introduces several ways to remove harmful gases from the chicken coop.

Chicken house

1 cushion deodorization method. When sulfur is mixed into the cushion and the pH value of the cushion is lower than 7, the production and emission of ammonia in chicken manure can be inhibited, thus the content of ammonia in the air of chicken house can be reduced and the odor of ammonia can be reduced. The specific method is to mix 0.5 kg of sulfur into the cushion material per square meter to pave the ground.

(2) adsorption. The odor in the air is absorbed by substances with adsorption function, such as activated carbon, quicklime, charcoal, cinder and so on. The method is to use a net bag filled with charcoal to hang in the chicken house or sprinkle some activated carbon, cinder, quicklime and so on on the ground, so that the stench in the air can be eliminated in varying degrees.

(3) biological deodorization. Many beneficial microorganisms can improve the utilization rate of protein in feed, reduce the discharge of ammonia in chicken feces, and reduce the content of harmful gases in the air. Methods it can be fed with mixed material or mixed with water according to the instructions of microorganisms, or it can also be sprayed on the chicken coop.

4Chemical deodorization. Calcium superphosphate can react with ammonia to produce tasteless ammonium phosphate, so calcium superphosphate can reduce the emission of ammonia in chicken feces and reduce the stench of chicken coop. Specific method: every 50 chickens on the activity ground evenly sprinkled 350 grams of calcium superphosphate. In addition, the use of odor inhibition chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate, copper sulfate, acetic acid and so on can also reduce the smell of chicken house air. The specific method is to mix the cushion with appropriate amount of hydrated lime and 4% copper sulfate, or to spray the cushion with 2% benzoic acid or 2% acetic acid, which can play the role of deodorization in the chicken house.

(5) deodorization with Chinese herbal medicine. Many Chinese herbal medicines such as Folium Isatidis, Artemisia argyi, Atractylodes macrocephala, garlic and straw also have deodorization effects. Specific method: the above-mentioned parts of traditional Chinese medicine can be burned in the chicken house, which can inhibit bacteria and deodorize, and the effect is the best when the chicken house is empty.
