From the first ten days of June to the first ten days of August, the citrus enters the critical period of summer tube, when the citrus is in the fruit expansion period, the summer shoot sprouting period and the citrus fruit fly damage period. Therefore, strengthening the summer management of citrus orchards is very important for the preservation and income of citrus fruits. In the following, combined with the growth characteristics of citrus, several key points of citrus orchard management techniques are put forward for citrus farmers' reference.

Citrus management

First, reasonable sprouting, scientific fruit: unfruited young trees, when the citrus summer shoot grows to about 5 leaves, pick the heart in time to promote the branches to mature. As a result, the big trees should wipe off the summer shoots and cut short the branches of the citrus trees that have fallen flowers and fruits to stimulate the early autumn shoots. At the same time, the ratio of leaf to fruit of each citrus tree is 30:1.

Second, formula fertilization: summer is in the citrus expansion period, the nutrient supply of citrus trees must be adequate, generally apply strong fruit fertilizer on June 15-20, and end at the beginning of July at the latest. Fertilization should be formulated, and the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is 10:8:6. In the process of soil fertilization, foliar spraying should be carried out to form up and down to increase tree nutrition in all directions.

Third, pest control: mainly control anthracnose, red spiders, black whitefly, sagittal scale, aphids, etc., to ensure the healthy growth of citrus trees.

Fourth, drought and drainage: in the citrus expansion period, in case of drought, citrus orchards need to be irrigated in time. After the heavy rain, drain the stagnant water in time for the low-lying and low-wet citrus orchards.
