How to prevent dead cucumber from common diseases in summer
Dead cucumber is a common problem in cucumber management in summer. There are many reasons for cucumber death in summer, but the main reason is that the poor root system reduces the ability of cucumber to absorb water and nutrients, which can not meet the growth needs of cucumber, resulting in the death of cucumber in summer.
Dead cucumber
I. the causes of root malnutrition
1. Lack of nutrition. Because of the high temperature in summer and the fast growth of cucumber, if there are too many melons, it is easy to cause the photosynthesis of the plant can not meet the growth needs of cucumber; in addition, the sunshade net set up by some farmers is covered all day, which can easily lead to the weakening of plant photosynthesis and the lack of organic nutrition. resulting in slow root growth and less roots.
2. High temperature. The suitable temperature for cucumber root growth is 20-25 ℃, while in summer, the temperature is more than 30 ℃. This high temperature environment is not conducive to cucumber root growth and is easy to aging.
3. The air permeability of soil is poor. In cultivation management, farmers often repeatedly walk the same operation to the road, resulting in soil consolidation; coupled with excessive watering, resulting in insufficient oxygen in the soil, roots can not carry out normal respiration, resulting in retting roots dead.
4. Root diseases. The growth ability of the plant was weakened and wilted to death due to root diseases. Such as blight, root rot, root knot nematode and so on.
II. Prevention and control methods
1. Keep melons properly to balance the nutrition of cucumber plants. It is suggested that there should be one melon every 2-3 leaves in big cucumber and one melon in 2 leaves or 2 melons in 3 leaves in small cucumber.
2. Reduce the shading time of the shading net and avoid all-day shading. According to the weather, it will be shaded from 10:00 to 3pm every day in hot weather, and not shaded the rest of the time.
3. Small water is watered frequently. It not only avoids drought but also takes into account soil permeability to ensure the normal respiration of cucumber roots. Drip irrigation or micro-irrigation can be adopted if possible, which can not only save water, but also reduce the occurrence of disease.
4. Apply rooting agent. Especially the rooting agents to promote the growth of cucumber capillaries, such as Genduole and so on.
5. Medicament to prevent disease. On the one hand, cucumber roots can be irrigated with rooting agents such as oxalyl, metalaxyl and Zhongshengmycin; on the other hand, Tongjia and Youjikang Diling agents can be applied to control the occurrence of cucumber root diseases.
