The key points for the management of lotus seed ripening, good-looking and delicious lotus seed flower and fruit stage
The lotus seed in July has entered the flowering and fruiting stage, and sufficient light is beneficial to the growth and development of the lotus seed. The key points for the management of lotus seed flowering and fruiting stage are as follows:
Lotus seed picking
First, moisture. The lotus seed has strong adaptability to water. The flower bud stage of the lotus seed is in the middle of summer, so the water layer can be properly irrigated to 15-18cm to meet the needs of cooling and evaporation in the lotus field.
Second, wiping out oligarchs. Since the density of underground stem in continuous cropping lotus field is high, more attention should be paid to wiping out olive lotus, which will consume nutrients and affect the growth and development of other flower buds of lotus seed. When removing the oligo, the leaves are constantly stalked to prevent Rain Water from rotting the underground stem caused by the stem. Wiping out the lotus continued until the middle stage of lotus seed picking.
Third, apply fertilizer scientifically. Each mu of lotus field is mixed with 20-30 kg imported compound fertilizer or 15 kg urea plus 15 kg potassium chloride or 30-40 kg rapeseed cake and 1 kg borax. After the lotus field dew is dry, the fertilizer should not be sprinkled on the leaves and buds to avoid damage.
Fourth, disease and pest control. Lotus seed main diseases: rot, leaf blight, leaf wilt and so on, insect pests are aphids, lotus armyworm and so on.
The rot disease occurred in June and July. The lotus whip stem base part and whip node of the diseased lotus seed turned brown and rotted, lost water and dried up, and the whole plant died.
Lotus leaf blight: in order to damage the leaves, the lotus leaves are covered with yellowish spots, which expand from the leaf margin to the veins, and then the whole leaves die.
With Fusarium wilt, the lotus leaves began to wither, the edges rolled up, the whole plant withered and the buds died.
Aphids: damage the tender leaves of lotus seeds and slow down the growth rate of lotus leaves; Spodoptera litura, which harms lotus leaves, eats up the whole lotus leaves.
Prevention and control measures: select strong seedlings without bacteria, disinfect seedlings, apply fertilizer scientifically, and remove diseased plants in the early stage of the disease. Chemical control: choose 200 grams of 70% topiramate mixed with 30 kilograms of fine soil for 2-3 hours, sprinkle the lotus field after drainage, or spray it with 1000 times of Lvxiang No.1 and 20% Budoro suspension for 2-3 times. Pest control agents can choose 80% dichlorvos 800 times or pyrethroids 1500 times solution to control.
Fifth, pick at the right time. Lotus seeds are picked from early July. The lotus canopy turns green and brown. When the lotus seed has tea-brown surface, it can be picked. Too old and too tender lotus seeds are not suitable for processing, affecting the quality of lotus seeds.
