Solving the problem of feed source is a great headache for turtle farmers, because the feed source of turtle is small and the cost is high. So, how to make the soft-shelled turtle eat well and eat well, and the feed cost is still low?

1. Feeding

You can raise earthworms or maggots in the shady and wet ground to produce feed; you can also use rice fields and gutters to eradicate weeds, collect rice field eel and Loach seedlings in spring, and often feed appropriate amount of bran, bran, fish meal, etc. the soft-shelled turtle can be caught and fed together during the feeding period in autumn.

2. Entrapment

In summer and autumn, 20 centimeters away from the water surface of the turtle pond, a black light is hung, and the flying insects trapped every night can be used as feed for the soft-shelled turtle; when the seedlings grow, the lights are lit to catch moths, and the moths captured every night are collected and fed to the soft-shelled turtles. The method is to put a lighted kerosene lamp in the middle of the basin filled with water, and use the characteristics that moths like light to kill them.

3. Fishing

From ditches, Weir ponds, reservoirs, rice fields and other tools to catch snail clams (to be shelled and mashed) and small fish and shrimp to feed the soft-shelled turtle.

4. Viscera

Collect the viscera, scrap materials and blood of slaughtered pigs, sheep and chickens, wash and chop them up and feed them.

5. Preparation

Flour 30%, wheat bran 30%, corn meal 20%, rice 15%, fish meal 5%, make granular feed and then feed the soft-shelled turtle.

Note: first, the amount of feed should be appropriate, the daily feed dosage is 14% Mel 20% of the total amount of soft-shelled turtle, and the soft-shelled turtle can be eaten 2 hours after feeding, in order to prevent the excess feed from rotting and polluting the water quality, and often change the water; second, some sulfonamides should be mixed into the feed every 15 days to prevent turtle neck disease and blood loss.
