1. The cause of disease

High temperature and heavy rain are very beneficial to the mass reproduction of midges, the vector of white crown disease. Chickens of all ages can be infected with white crown disease, and adult chickens are more likely to be infected, but the incidence rate of chicks is higher than that of adult chickens. Therefore, if it is not prevented, it is very easy to cause a large-scale epidemic of white crown disease.

3. Preventive measures

The main measure to prevent white crown disease is to exterminate the vector Culicoides and to prevent the contact between chickens and vector insects as much as possible. During the epidemic season of white crown disease, insecticides are sprayed inside and outside the chicken house every week. 0.01% trichlorfon or 0.03% fly poison phosphorus solution can be used. Insecticides such as deltamethrin or cyanoether valerate are also used inside and outside the chicken house to eliminate harmful insects such as midges and gnats, and put gauze on the doors and windows of the chicken house, so as to reduce the probability of chickens being attacked by insects. Tamiflu and other drugs can also be added to chicken feed for prevention.

4. Treatment plan

Chicken white crown disease should be treated immediately after it is diagnosed. The first choice is taimijing, 1 gram of raw powder 2.5 kg for 5 ~ 7 days, synergistic sulfadiazine, 25 mg / kg chicken weight for 3 ~ 4 days, chloroquine, 100 mg / kg chicken weight for 3 ~ 4 days, once a day for 3 days. After the same chicken farm is used for a period of time, another drug should be changed or two effective drugs should be used at the same time, and the prevention and control effect is better. It can also be fed with 200 mg chloroquine per kilogram for 3 days and 3 days every 2 days. If the chicken suffering from white crown disease loss of appetite or abstinence, you can use diquinine hydrochloride, each dose of 1 ml (containing 0.25 grams), each chicken chest muscle injection of 0.25 ml, once a day for 4 ~ 5 days. Can also use white crown red, chicken ball net and other drugs for treatment.
