High-grade beef cattle produce high-grade beef, which is strictly required in terms of tenderness, flavor, juiciness and other main indexes. The fattening techniques of high-grade beef cattle are as follows:

High-grade beef cattle

First, strictly control the age of cattle. Beef calves weaned at the age of 6 months and weighing more than 200 kg were selected for fattening. When fattening to the age of 18-24 months (that is, before slaughtering), the weight should reach 450-500 kg, otherwise, the quality of beef is not up to the standard. Therefore, in fattening high-grade beef cattle, the age of fattening cattle should be controlled, and the pre-slaughter weight should be up to standard, both of which are indispensable.

Second, select excellent varieties. It is best to select beef cattle of good breeds to cross with local yellow cattle for fattening. This kind of hybrid beef cattle gains weight quickly and the beef is of good quality. In addition, China's excellent local breeds of cattle, such as Luxi yellow cattle, Nanyang yellow cattle, etc., can also fatten out high-grade beef.

Third, the general management in the early stage of feeding. It lasts for 4 months. During this period, beef cattle diet is mainly roughage, concentrate accounts for 25%, crude protein content is 12%, each beef cattle daily intake of about 4 kg of dry matter, daily gain of about 0.5 kg.

Fourth, strengthen the management in the later stage of feeding. It lasts for 8 months. If the fattening plan of beef cattle is 18 months old and weighs about 500 kilograms, the feeding for these 8 months is as follows:

Concentrate accounted for 55% of the previous diet, crude protein content 11%, each beef cattle daily intake of 6.2 kg of dry matter, daily gain of 0.7 kg.

In the later stage, concentrate accounted for 75%, crude protein content 10.8%, each beef cattle daily intake of 7.6 kg of dry matter, daily gain of 1.1 kg.

Fifth, scientific management. Fattening beef cattle are raised in a shed or enclosure. When raising in a house, one beef cow should be fixed and fastened, and the reins should not be too long. When raising beef cattle in the fence, beef cattle should be kept separately, with about 15 beef cattle in each column, each covering an area of about 4-5 square meters, allowing beef cattle to eat and drink freely, and 75% of the concentrate in the diet. In addition, we should pay attention to prevent beef cattle bloating or diarrhea, once the disease, timely treatment. Male beef cattle should be castrated before fattening.
