Geese are herbivorous poultry, which have the characteristics of fast growth, strong disease resistance and low consumption of concentrate feed. Spring and summer are the golden season for raising goslings, and four points should be paid attention to in the process of raising goslings.

Gosling

(1) temperature change. The velvet feather that just came out of the shell is thin, and the ability of self-regulation of body temperature is poor, so attention should be paid to heat preservation and heat prevention. Generally, the house temperature of 1-5-day-old goslings should be 26-30 ℃. After that, the house temperature should be reduced by 1-2 ℃ every 7 days, and the temperature should be controlled reasonably according to the weather. Goslings should not graze at noon in summer to prevent heatstroke. Let the geese rest in a cool place at noon and add anti-heat stress additives such as minerals and vitamins to their drinking water.

(2) feed matching. Because of the imperfect gastrointestinal digestion and absorption function of the newly hatched goslings, green vegetables can not be fed alone, but should be fed with rice, chopped rice or formula feed. In the future, with the increase of the age of goslings, the proportion of green feed in the diet can be gradually increased to 9%, and the proportion of concentrate feed can be gradually reduced to 10%.

(3) feeding and management. For goslings over 10 days old, choose a sunny day with a suitable temperature and no wind at noon. After feeding, the goslings are slowly rushed to the nearby grass for activity, and an hour later, the goslings are rushed to the pond to release water. The time can not be long, just a few minutes. Then drive the goose ashore, let it comb its feathers, wait for the hair to dry, and rush back to the goose house. In order to prevent some frail geese from catching cold and getting sick, gentamicin or germicidal star can be added to the drinking water of goslings. The time of grazing and launching of goslings can be prolonged with the increase of their age, and the goslings over 30 days of age can graze all day.

(4) Health care and prevention. Feed should be fresh and moldy feed should be forbidden; always clean the site, change the mat grass frequently, strengthen the disinfection of goose house, keep it clean and dry; clean the trough and drinking fountain every day, disinfect it regularly, and add antibiotics and other feed additives to the feed. In addition, do a good job of vaccinating goslings.
