Apricot fruit ripens earlier, and the interval from postharvest to dormant period is long. During this period, it is very important to restore the tree potential and accumulate tree nutrition. Scientific management here can reduce diseases and insect pests, promote the rational growth of apricot trees, promote flower bud differentiation, improve the quantity and quality of apricot flower buds, and lay the foundation for high yield in the coming year.

Postharvest management of apricot trees

The specific management measures after apricot harvest are briefly summarized as follows:

First, shaping and pruning: apricot trees are still growing after harvest, so it is necessary to control growth, ease the tree potential, and improve the internal lighting conditions of apricot trees. Open the corners of the strong branches to ease the tree potential and promote the formation of flowers; to the new shoots, pick the heart twice to promote the branches and cultivate the branch group. After the result, the fruit branches which are obviously weak and drooping should be retracted properly. If there is room for growth, measures such as coring and twisting should be taken to control the growth of apricot branches that sprout in the crown; if there is no room for growth, they should be removed in time. At the same time, the dry and withered branches, split branches, disease and insect branches, cross branches, overlapping branches and weak branches in the crown should be cut off to reduce the nutrient consumption of apricot trees, improve the ventilation and light transmission conditions of apricot trees, and carp form high-quality flower buds.

2. Soil, fertilizer and water management:

1. After apricot fruit is harvested, weeding should be combined with a ploughing and loosening soil with a depth of about 10cm in the whole orchard. Before defoliation, the deep ploughing of deep 30~40cm was carried out with the application of base fertilizer.

two。 After apricot fruit harvest, early fertilization should be applied, especially for apricot trees with weak tree potential and more fruit, in order to make up for the nutrients consumed in apricot trees. After fruit picking, apricot trees were immediately applied with secondary available fertilizer, and 0.5 kg urea was applied to each adult apricot tree, and then watered. Combined with spraying, foliar fertilizer was sprayed, and 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 0.2% urea were sprayed to increase the nutrient accumulation of apricot trees and improve the quantity and quality of apricot flower buds. From late August to early October, base fertilizer was applied, mainly farm fertilizer, mixed with a small amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Generally, at the beginning of 5 ~ 6 years, farm manure and calcium superphosphate were applied 3050 kg and 0.3 kg per tree, and 70kg 100 kg and 0.5 kg superphosphate were applied to each tree at full fruiting stage, and watered immediately after application.

3. After apricot fruit harvest, water should be irrigated in time to make the soil moisture conducive to apricot growth. This watering can ensure the normal differentiation of apricot flower buds and the growth, aging and ripening of branches. Pour frozen water, if possible, pour water once before freezing to ensure that apricot trees survive the winter safely.

Third, pest control: apricot trees are often affected by diseases and insect pests after fruit picking, according to the actual situation, timely spraying control, in order to protect leaves and increase apricot nutrition accumulation.
