Early blight is the main disease of virgin fruit, which is widely distributed and common. It mainly occurs in the fields of virgin fruit planted in the open field in autumn, and it also occurs from time to time in the protected field. 30%-50% of the general diseased plants occur, and when they are serious, 100% of the disease occurs. Some branches and leaves are necrotic due to early blight, which obviously affects the production of virgin fruit.

Early blight is mainly harmful to leaves, and when severe, it also infects petioles, branches and stems. Leaves infected with the disease, the initial brown necrosis spots, and then turned into a near-round brown disease with concentric wheel lines of necrotic spots, the edge of yellowish green, multiple disease spots connected to each other, causing the leaves of the virgin fruit to turn yellow and die. Petiole, branches and stem infected, oval to irregular brown necrotic spots, obvious depression, concentric wheel lines, rough surface, easy to break from the disease. The air is moist, and there are gray-black mildew on the surface of the disease spot, that is, pathogen conidiophores, conidia.

Prevention and control methods:

1. Apply sufficient organic base fertilizer and increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. During the growing period, timely topdressing and watering can avoid the early senescence of virgin fruit plants and enhance disease resistance.

2. Do a good job in rural cleaning. After harvest, the diseased and residual tissue and fallen leaves were completely removed, and during the growing period, the diseased leaves were removed in time to reduce the source of bacteria.

3. In the early stage of the disease, we can choose 50% prohydantoin wettable powder 1000 times liquid, or 50% carbendazim wettable powder 200x liquid, or 50% carbendan wettable powder 200x liquid, or 50% carbendan wettable powder 400x liquid, or 80% Dasheng wettable powder 800x liquid, or 70% mancozeb wettable powder 600x liquid, combined with the control of bacterial diseases. You can also choose 47% Garinon wet powder 600Mel 800 times liquid spray, control once in 10-15 days, and prevent and cure 1-3 times according to the condition of virgin fruit.
