The fattening stage of pheasant is from the age of 16-18 weeks, and the body weight of pheasant in the fattening stage shows a linear upward trend.

Pheasant breeding

1. Reasonable feeding

Pheasants fed with raw grains can appropriately increase the proportion of energy feeds such as corn and sorghum (recommended formula: corn 40%, wheat 15%, fried peas 20%, rapeseed cake 15%, wheat bran 5%, rice bran 4%, bone meal 1%, plus 2.5kg salt and appropriate trace elements per ton of pheasant feed). If fed with domestic chicken feed, broiler growth feed can be used for fattening. Ensure adequate drinking water, in addition, 10% Murray 20% green fodder can be added. Ensure that pheasants can take a sand bath at least once a week and spray 2% trichlorfon solution into the river sand to kill parasites that live outside pheasants.

two。 Control density

At the initial stage (5Mel 11 weeks old), pheasants were raised 10-2 per square meter, and then raised in groups according to male and female, strength and size, and the breeding density decreased to 6-8 per square meter. At the same time, enough troughs should be set up for pheasants to feed evenly and grow consistently.

3. Set up a perch and prevent pecking.

A perch for pheasants should be placed inside and outside the henhouse, which will not only make full use of the breeding space, but also help to reduce pheasant pecking. High-density feeding, pheasants are easy to peck feathers, anus and so on. Pheasants with pecked hair should be raised and coated with purple potion or camphor ointment and raised in isolation. Or regulate the pheasant flock: (1) hang grass or vegetables in the chicken house to induce pheasants to peck vegetables while distracting pheasants and replenishing vitamins and fiber; (2) pheasants aged 9-11 weeks can add 1% feather powder; (3) increase the salt content in the feed to 2.5%, or add salt to drinking water, and ensure adequate water supply. Of course, in order to avoid pecking injury, the beak of the pheasant should be cut off at the nestling stage.

4. Anti-startled flight

Keep the chicken farm quiet, refuse to visit, and reduce the influence of the outside world on pheasants. In order to prevent the pheasant from being hit or killed, cut off the primary flying feathers on one side of the pheasant; the block building of the chicken house should not be too high.

5. Do a good job in epidemic prevention

The henhouse is cleaned every day and sterilized once a week with disinfectants such as Baidu. 8Mel 9-week-old pheasants were vaccinated with drinking water (the amount of drinking water was twice as much as the amount of injection). The II strain of Newcastle disease vaccine. During the fattening period, in case of continuous rainy weather, 0.04% oxytetracycline or other antibiotics should be added to the pheasant feed to prevent the occurrence of avian cholera or coccidiosis.
