The high temperature in summer can easily make goats lose their appetite and lose weight. But the water and grass are abundant in summer, such as grasping the summer fat, it can promote the goat to recover its physical strength and lay the foundation of full fat breeding in autumn and winter, so how to make the summer goat not lose fat but gain fat?

Sheep

First, deworming. Lambing of ewes in summer is generally over. Afortin can be used to drive out nematodes in goats and lice, mites, ticks (grass reptiles) and fly maggots in vitro. Dose: 50kg body weight with 5g Afordine, add feed, mix and feed. Repeat every 7 to 10 days. Lambs born in spring can be dewormed in autumn. If you need deworming, you should strictly control the dose. In the areas with high incidence of fascioliasis, nitrochlorophenol and other drugs can be used for deworming once in Spring and Autumn.

Second, grazing. The weather is hot in summer, sheep like to pile up and don't have enough to eat. When grazing, go out early in the morning, go home late in the afternoon, and rest at noon. Grazing just broke in the morning and harvested at about 10:00 in the morning. Graze at 02:30 in the afternoon and harvest at 7 p.m. Let the sheep return to rest at noon. Graze in sunny and hot days, choose dry and ventilated places or shady places in the woods, and graze flat on rainy days. Let the sheep eat 40 to 50% full every day. Before going out for grazing every day, drink water to the sheep 4-6 times a day. Drinking water is clean running water or well water, do not let the sheep lie in the wet mud, so as not to get rheumatism. Graze downwind on rainy days to prevent the faces of sheep from being attacked by rain. Since the Summer Solstice, light rain has persisted in grazing, and heavy rain and torrential rain should be avoided as far as possible. When there is lightning and thunder, do not go to the steep slope, so as not to hurt the sheep.

Third, dry the sheep. It is very important to dry sheep because of the hot weather in summer. To dry the sheep is to drive the sheep to a cool place to rest, let the sheep give off heat and keep the sheep healthy. After the harvest, if you drive the sheep into the sheepfold immediately, because the sheep have run away, it will make the sheep feel muggy and make their stomach easy to get sick. After harvesting at noon, when the sheep get home, don't rush into the enclosure and hang them in the shade of the trees. After grazing at night, drive the sheep to the yard until it is cool in the middle of the night, and then drive into the enclosure, you can also spend the night in an open enclosure. Before coming out for grazing in the morning, the sheep should be driven out of the pen for 1-2 hours before coming out for grazing. Starting from the Beginning of Summer, dig a sheep pit in the sheepfold, and the sheep pit is made of wood, and the circle is often covered with dry soil to keep it clean, dry and ventilated. For the two-story relatively cool sheep shed, after the sheep are harvested, they can be rushed into directly. For example, the sheep are in low spirits, do not like to eat grass, and have blood in them, indicating that the sheep have become angry and should be dried all night for several nights, and the sheep should be treated.
