1. Clinical symptoms:

Gastrointestinal flatulence, abdominal distension such as drum, gastric wall dilatation, causing digestive disorders. Symptoms appeared 15-20 minutes after feeding, with accelerated breathing, hyperemia around the eyeball, and some eyes. Mild illness for 15-20 minutes, symptoms disappear, severe cases can not climb, limbs are not effective, mouth and nose mucous foam, anus protruding to death. It has the characteristics of mass hair, the skin is red and blue-purple.

Second, etiological analysis:

Mainly concentrate feed, uneven feed, or feed mutation, strong palatability, gluttonous piglets, excessive feed intake, resulting in disturbance of digestive juice and feed mixing, increased stomach volume, excessive short-term stay, slow peristalsis, uneven gastric juice, abnormal fermentation, production of sulfur gas. Irregular feeding and uneven hunger and satiety are also inducements. It can be complicated with nitrite poisoning due to feed mildew.

3. Prevention and control measures:

Strengthen the feeding management, feed according to the demand and feed balance. Prevent oversatiety, maintain basic and piglet growth needs, feed formula is reasonable and stable, prevent mutation. When changing the feed variety, it is necessary to go through the transition of 3-5 days to prevent the sudden change and cause the change stress. When the feed changes and the weather changes suddenly, anti-stress drugs such as electrolytic multivitamin, vitamin C and glucose powder can be added to the drinking water of piglets. When the weight of the pig is more than 75kg, 0.3% salt should be added to the feed and stop feeding once a week to increase the amount of water the pig can drink. The pig's drinking water should be kept clean and hygienic, and the height of the free drinking fountain should be adjusted as the pig grows, which is 15-20cm higher than the back of the pig. Moldy and deteriorated feed is prohibited.

In the treatment, the principle is to empty the accumulated food in the stomach of piglets and restore the stomach function of piglets. Can stop eating for 1 day and drink a small amount of water. In order to promote the emptying of stomach contents and restore motor function, abdominal massage can be carried out, and piglets can also be driven away steadily. Piglets with serious illness should be handled carefully to prevent stomach rupture.

For sick piglets, 50kg body weight and 10ml Saikeling (ammonium formylcholine chloride injection) can be injected twice a day. For piglets with protruding and hardened nictitating membrane, the hardened nictitating membrane can be cut off with scissors to make it bleed. To prevent the fermentation of stomach contents, you can use 1-5 grams of fish stone ester, 10-15 milliliters of ethanol, add an appropriate amount of water, or 20-50 milliliters of vinegar.
