The benefit of lettuce is good, so there are many people who grow lettuce, but the sclerotinia disease of lettuce is more serious every year, and when it comes to planting lettuce in a year, we will now provide you with ways to prevent and control Sclerotinia sclerotiorum of lettuce in order to suffer less losses.

Sclerotinia sclerotiorum of lettuce

Symptoms: the stem of lettuce was waterlogged near the ground, which rapidly expanded to the upper part of the stem and root, resulting in soft rot of lettuce disease tissue and white cotton-like mycelium on the surface. Subsequently, the mycelium interweaved to form a black mouse fecal sclerotia after the initial white. The aboveground stem and petiole of lettuce were damaged, and the symptoms were similar. After the disease of lettuce, the aboveground leaves wilted and the whole plant died.

Incidence rule: Sclerotinia sclerotiorum overwinters in the soil, the temperature is about 20 ℃, and the relative humidity is more than 85%, which is beneficial to the growth and development of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, and the disease occurs seriously.

Prevention and control methods:

The main results are as follows: 1. Choose the varieties of lettuce with strong disease resistance.

2. Crop rotation and deep turning the soil, burying the sclerotia deeply in the soil.

3. Strengthen field management, apply fertilizer reasonably, avoid partial application of nitrogen fertilizer and increase application of phosphorus fertilizer. Timely removal of diseased plants to reduce mutual transmission during the growth of vegetable plants. Eliminate waterlogging in time and reduce ground humidity. It is well ventilated and transparent.

4. During the onset of the disease, 15-20 kg of quicklime can be mixed with 15 kg of fine soil per mu and sprinkled between the rows of lettuce plants; 25% carbendazim wettable powder or 1500-2000 times methyl thiophanate wettable powder can be sprayed on the stems and leaves of the middle and lower parts of the vegetable plant, and the effect is good.
