The roughness of fruit surface affects how the appearance of apple can improve the smoothness of fruit surface.

First, fruit bagging. Bagging the apple can effectively improve the surface finish of the apple. Apple bagging can make the pericarp smooth, delicate, bright color, less rust spots, and small and few fruit spots, so as to improve the appearance quality of apple.

Second, control the amount of nitrogen fertilizer. If the amount of nitrogen fertilizer is too much, the bagged fruit has poor chlorosis, the fruit surface is dull and dirty, and the red variety apple coloring is slow and shallow; on the contrary, if the nitrogen fertilizer is moderate, the peel background color is light, the color is bright, the red variety is more bright, and the fruit rust becomes lighter.

Third, the apple hangs freely. Apple is a single fruit free drooping growth, not close to branches, stems, leaves, fruit, can effectively avoid branch grinding, leaf grinding, water rust, cracks, breeding of diseases and insect pests.

Fourth, the use of pesticides and foliar fertilizers should be reasonable. Pesticides and foliar fertilizers, if used for improper time or concentration, will often stimulate the apple fruit surface to cause roughness, or even drug damage, affecting the finish and fruit properties. One month before harvest, the apple orchard should stop spraying Bordeaux liquid or thick lime emulsion and use fungicides with no residue and no residue, such as Dasheng Mmur45, Nongkang 120, polyantimycin and so on. 800 times of Meiguoling was sprayed at flowering stage, 500 and 600 times of Meiguoling was sprayed at bud stage, young fruit stage, apple expansion stage and pre-harvest stage, and 400 times of amino acid compound fertilizer was sprayed from young fruit to preharvest. These micro-fertilizers are sprayed 3-5 times a year to thicken the waxy layer on the fruit surface.

Fifth, spray fruit surface protectant. Spraying 500-800-fold high-fat film or 200-fold paraffin emulsion could reduce the rust spot or peel microcrack and improve the appearance quality of apple obviously.
