With the popularization of agricultural machinery, the time from stubble to wheat sowing has been greatly shortened, and the timely postponement of corn harvest in normal years does not affect wheat planting. According to the actual production in various places, the harvest can generally be postponed to October 5-October 10, and wheat can be sown around October 15 to ensure a bumper harvest of wheat and corn throughout the year.

3. The longer the filling time of corn is, the greater the grain filling intensity is, the higher the maize yield is, so prolonging the filling period in the later stage of maize growth is an important way to increase the yield. The 1000-grain weight of corn will increase by 3-4 grams and increase by 5-7 kg per mu for one day from wax ripening to full ripening. If calculated according to 10 days late harvest, the grain filling period can be extended to more than 50 days, and the yield can be increased by more than 50 kg per mu. In addition, the corn with delayed harvest had full and uniform grains, less small and blighted grains, lower grain water content, high protein content, good marketability, and convenient for threshing and storage.
