Xanthuria in young rabbits is mostly caused by sucking the milk of female rabbits with mastitis. Xanthuria mainly occurs in the young rabbit, which often occurs in the whole litter. After infection, the young rabbits showed lethargy, cold limbs and fishy yellow urine around the hind limbs and anus. 2-3 days after the onset of the disease, the young rabbits died one after another, and the mortality rate was very high. This paper introduces four methods for the prevention and treatment of xanthuria in young rabbits.

Rabbit

1. Before breastfeeding, each rabbit should take chloramphenicol eye drops 2-3 drops to prevent xanthuria. For sick rabbits, oral gentamicin or chloramphenicol injection, 2-3 drops twice a day for 3 days, can be cured.

Second, after giving birth to the female rabbit, one dose of rhubarb sinomenine injection (2 ml each) was injected into the buttocks. When the female rabbits were injected with rhubarb, the young rabbits developed normally, the fur was shiny, and the urine was water-like, without color and precipitation. Female rabbits will not have mastitis during lactation.

3. 7 days before delivery, streptomycin was injected intramuscularly once a day, 1 ml each time for 3 days.

4. For sick rabbits, take 2 grams of sugar, dissolve in warm boiling water, add a packet of Xiaoer'an to mix well, and use a needle-free syringe to drip the mixture into the mouth of the sick rabbits. Each rabbit can be cured by dripping 4 drops of sugar 3 times a day for 3 days.
