Summer enters May and June, and the north is the peak season for jujube, bauhinia, chestnut and other flowers. The high density of flower flow is the key period to grasp the economic benefits. Therefore, organizing honeybees to gather honey in strong groups, breeding in weak groups and artificial grouping properly are the key points of bee colony management in summer.

Honeybee breeding

1. Gather honey in a strong group. During the nectar period, we should fully grasp the principles of "strong group collecting honey, weak group breeding", "new king group collecting honey, old king group breeding", "main group collecting honey, sub-group breeding" and "single king group collecting honey, double king group reproduction", so as to properly solve the contradiction between honey collection and reproduction of bees.

2. Properly control sub-bee fever. In the proliferation period of the colony, we should properly control the colony potential to make up for the weak in order to make it develop in a balanced way. it is necessary to timely increase the spleen, expand the beehive, open the big bee door, pay attention to ventilation and shade, so as to make the bees in a state of suitable life and active honey collection.

3. Take honey in time. Timely take out the nest to store honey, will stimulate worker bees to actively collect honey, make honey. Take honey according to the principle of taking 2/3 of honey, in order to prevent the effect of abrupt weather on honey collection of bees.

4. Guard against enemy damage. In summer, wasps, wasps, toads and other enemies should be killed at any time to avoid infestation and flight.

5. Take measures to avoid the summer. When the temperature is too high, it is necessary to do a good job of shading the beehive, in addition to shading, but also in and around the beehive to sprinkle water to cool, feed water for bees and other measures.
