With high temperature and rainy summer and rich green fodder, farmers must seize the opportunity to graze well in order to save cost, develop summer fat and lay the foundation for autumn and winter full fat and breeding. But the summer weather is hot, easy to cause sheep heatstroke and other diseases. Therefore, farmers must pay attention to scientific grazing. The common methods are summarized as follows for farmers' reference:

Sheep flock

First, correct grazing methods. The weather is hot in summer, sheep like to pile up and don't have enough to eat. Graze in the morning, leave early and return early, and graze as soon as the dew dries in the morning. 11:00-15:00 let the sheep stay in the sheepfold to rest to eat forage, 7 pm harvest, sunny weather, choose dry grazing; hot days choose forest shade to prevent heatstroke.

Second, pay attention to cooling sheep. Sheep get angry easily in summer, so it is very important to cool sheep every day in order to ensure their health. Return to grazing at noon, the sheep can not rush into the sheepfold, first let the sheep in the shade of the wind to rest, drink water. After grazing at night, you can wait for the sheep to cool for a period of time before entering the enclosure. Every time grazing and harvesting, do not rush to drive sheep, should let the sheep walk slowly, move, cool the body to dissipate heat.

Third, pay attention to the bad weather. There are more thunder and torrential rain in summer, and once sheep are attacked, they are easy to get hurt, catch a cold and lose weight. Therefore, grazing in summer should avoid wind and rain. In the thunderous and rainy weather, when grazing, bring a large piece of fiber cloth that can cover the sheep to protect them from the rain temporarily. When there is lightning and thunder, do not graze on a steep slope to prevent lightning and sheep from falling.

Fourth, correctly replenish drinking water. Feed the mixed feed made of corn flour, bean cake and rice bran and straw bran twice a day. Sheep should drink light salt water 4-6 times a day. Do not let sheep drink dead pond water, drainage and irrigation water and ditch water.

Pay attention to environmental hygiene. Hot and humid in summer, the range of activities becomes smaller after sheep grazing, and the enclosure is easy to be humid, causing parasitic diseases, so it is necessary to pay attention to the cleanliness, ventilation and moistureproof of the sheep house, keep it clean and dry, and prevent and cure parasites such as scabies. Feed and drinking water should be cleaned. Do not feed moldy, spoiled, toxic or foreign bodies, and feed utensils are often cleaned and disinfected. Sheep houses and playgrounds should be cleaned and disinfected frequently.

Pay attention to the prevention and treatment of diseases. When grazing, you should always pay attention to the condition, appetite and feces of the sheep. When infectious diseases or suspected infectious diseases occur, they should be isolated and treated immediately, and the bodies of sick and dead sheep should be properly disposed of, buried or burned, so as to cut off the source of the disease, control the epidemic, and extinguish it in time.
