Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Soil: Phyllostachys pubescens is suitable for growing in soils with high nutrient content and good air permeability and drainage capacity. Temperature: its optimum growth temperature is 20-15 ℃, no less than 5 ℃ in winter and no more than 35 ℃ in summer. Light: put it in a place with plenty of light when breeding. Moisture: water not too much nor too little, just keep the soil slightly wet.

1. Soil

Phyllostachys pubescens likes the soil with high nutrient content and good air permeability and drainage capacity. Rotten leaf soil, garden soil and coarse sand can be used in family breeding.

2. Temperature

Phyllostachys pubescens is suitable for growing at relatively warm temperatures. The optimum growth temperature is 20-15 ℃. In winter, the temperature needs to be adjusted to more than 5 ℃; in summer, the temperature needs to be adjusted below 35 ℃.

3. Lighting

Pine leaf bamboo likes the growth condition of semi-shade, so put it in a place with plenty of light when you breed it. Be sure to use a sunshade net or other means to shade it in the summer, otherwise it is likely to be burned by strong light.

4. Moisture

Pine leaf bamboo is not resistant to drought and waterlogging, so you must be careful when watering, neither too much nor too little. Generally speaking, the soil needs to be watered once when the soil begins to dry, and the soil surface can be slightly discolored.
