Goat infectious pleuropneumonia is a unique contagious disease of goats caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum, which can occur all the year round. Healthy sheep come into contact with diseased sheep and are infected by air.

First, clinical symptoms

The incubation period of the disease is 18-26 days, and the course of the disease is acute or chronic.

1. Acute: at the initial stage of the disease, the body temperature rose to 41-42 ℃, and the goats were depressed, anorexia, coughing, wheezing, often leaving the group or lying on the ground. There are obvious symptoms of pneumonia and pleurisy. Nostril flow, mucous nasal juice, severe bleeding or cyanosis of nasal mucosa and conjunctiva, dyspnea. In the later stage of the disease, gastroenteritis is often secondary to gastroenteritis, sometimes severe diarrhea, feces with a large number of intestinal mucosa and blood. The sick sheep are thin, dehydrated, like drinking water and die within days.

two。 Chronic diseases, mostly from acute cases, generally no obvious symptoms of pneumonia, often manifested as cough, runny nose, diarrhea, progressive emaciation, dishevelled coat, growth often trapped in a stagnant state, the course of disease is longer.

II. Preventive measures

When buying sheep, they must be kept in an isolation loop. after a month of isolation and observation, it is confirmed that they are free from disease before they can be incorporated into the flock. After the onset of the disease, the sick sheep were treated in isolation. Sheephouses and utensils where sick sheep have stayed should be thoroughly and strictly disinfected. In the areas where the disease occurs frequently, aluminum hydroxide vaccine of goat infectious pleuropneumonia is used to prevent injection. Goats less than 6 months old are injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly with 3 ml, and goats over 6 months old are injected with 5 ml. Strong immunity was produced 14 days after injection, and the immune period was 1 year.

III. Treatment methods

1. In the early stage of the disease, the effect was better when treated with new arsine vanamine. The dosage of 30kg 50 kg adult sheep is 0.8kg 1.0g, that of breeding sheep over 5 months old is 0.2g 0.3g, and that of young sheep less than 5 months old is 0.1g 0.15g. 5% of the new arsine vanamine solution was prepared with 5% glucose solution and slowly injected into the vein (the new arsine vanamine solution must be used now). After 1-3 days, the dose should be slightly reduced after another injection. If the sheep are still sick, they should be injected again.

two。 Sulfadiazine sodium injection, 0.02 to 0.04 grams per kilogram of body weight, twice intramuscularly in the morning and evening. New arsine vannamine and sulfadiazine sodium injection can also be used for prevention, and the dosage is slightly reduced.

3. Red chain Gongzhi (oxytetracycline injection) and Boda compound sulfamethoxine sodium injection were injected into adult sheep with 20 ml each, once a day for 3 times. Young sheep lose weight according to weight.

4. According to the different pathological changes, goats were given symptomatic treatment. If the heart is weak, cardiotonic agent should be injected; when dehydration, appropriate infusion should be given; gastrointestinal inflammation should be injected with gastrointestinal disinfectant.
