At this time, it is best to apply some light foliar fertilizer every ten and a half days (be careful not to be too thick) to supplement its nutrition so that it can thrive.

The weak seedlings of orchids are difficult to raise in two periods, so special attention should be paid to them:

First, the weak seedlings spend the summer. After the weak seedlings grow out, the most fear is to get through the high temperature and hot summer, because after the new buds of the orchid seedlings grow, the new roots have not yet grown, and there is no adequate nutrition supply. if you encounter the weather of more than 30 ℃ for a long time, the weak seedlings will definitely be damaged, so measures should be taken to protect the weak seedlings. General protection measures: air-conditioned rooms are put into air-conditioned rooms. However, we should pay attention to avoid sudden cold and heat, and maintain a certain degree of air humidity (you can use Hongyun fan to blow the water in the basin to improve the air humidity). There is no air-conditioned room, can be put into the bathroom, indirectly with Hongyun fan blowing basin water humidification and cooling, to ensure the safety of orchid seedlings to spend the summer.

Another difficult period to raise is winter. Weak seedlings are also afraid to spend the winter. The weather is cold in winter, if the heat preservation work is not done well, the weak seedlings are easy to freeze to death, so the heat preservation work is particularly important. If there is an air-conditioned room, it is best to put the weak seedlings into the air-conditioned room (and increase the air humidity in the same way as in summer); if there is no air-conditioned room, put it into a closed balcony, bathroom or room, which is safer. But pay attention to the humidity of the basin soil, not too wet, not too dry.

The cultivation of weak seedlings of orchids also has two points to pay attention to:

First, after the weak seedlings grow out, it is best not to change (turn over) the basin in the first year, especially in winter. Because at this time the orchid seedling is too small, there are still few orchid roots (some do not have any roots at all), if you change the basin, it is very difficult to convince the basin, easy to have problems. In addition, after many weak seedlings grow out, because the Reed head of the seedling is still very small, it needs to continue to grow Reed head in the second year, so many weak seedlings only grow Reed head in the second year and do not send new seedlings.

Second, do not easily cut off the old seedlings with green. Although the new buds of most Reed heads without old seedlings appear earlier and grow faster than those with old seedlings, when they grow to a certain point, the new buds with old seedlings will soon catch up with those without old seedlings. The new seedlings with the old seedling Reed head grow strong, while the new buds without the old seedling Reed head grow weak. This shows that although it is only an old seedling, it can still provide nutrition to the new buds, so do not easily cut off the old seedlings that are still green when changing pots.
