Mustard soft rot is a bacterial disease. In the early stage of the disease, the leaves wilted and drooped, and it was obvious at noon on a sunny day. the base of the petiole and the pith of the rhizome of mustard were completely rotten, full of light grayish brown, sticky substance, and foul odor. finally, the base of the stem rotted into a hole, and when serious, the whole plant died. The prevention and control methods are as follows:

Mustard soft rot

(1) good stubble: mustard rotation with Gramineae crops, not continuous cropping with cruciferous crops.

(2) good farming should be done: first, the land preparation should be flat to avoid uneven border surface; second, the chamber ditch should be deep, reaching 25~30cm (ditch width 40cm); and the third border should be high, above 30cm.
