Softening planting Technology of celery by reducing Cellulose and increasing Edible value
Celery is a vegetable with edible petiole. If the management is not fine, it will lead to the increase of fiber and loss of edible value. The celery cultivated by softening method has less cellulose content, chlorophyll decomposition in petiole, lutein formation, reduced oil gland secretion, high edible value, yield increase and income. The softening cultivation method of celery is:
Celery
Soil softening method: celery row spacing 33~40cm, seedling height 35~50cm, first apply heavy fertilizer, irrigate enough water for three times. After 5 days and 7 days, tie up the base of each clump of celery with straw and loosen the soil again to make the soil slightly dry, then cultivate the soil on both sides of the celery and pat the soil tightly to make the soil smooth. The first time the soil is about 33mm thick, after 2 or 3 days, cultivate the soil again, so that the soil is continuously cultivated for 5 or 6 times, and the height is about 20~25cm, so that the heart leaves of celery are exposed and do not hurt the buds. It is best to travel in the afternoon when the soil is sunny and the soil is not moist. It can be harvested after about 30 days.
Baffle softening method: when the row spacing is 33~40cm and the seedling is about high 35cm, first hold the celery up to make it stand upright and expose the soil between the rows. Then use two boards (bamboo, milling board and plastic board) which are about 1.7 to 3.5m long and about 13~17cm in width and thick 2~3cm, and put celery on both sides, and the two ends of the board are fixed with wooden piles. Cultivate soil 13~17cm thick between the two boards, so that the celery will not be injured and the soil will not fall into the heart of the cabbage, so as to prevent the celery from rotting. Early celery only needs to be cultivated for 1 or 2 times and can be harvested after about 30 days (days).
Bamboo softening method: make up the distance and seedling height as above, use a slender bamboo pole to clip the celery petiole in the direction of planting. There is a period of harmony. The two ends of the bamboo are bound with grass or nylon flies, and then the soil is cultivated in different times according to the method of soil softening, which can be harvested for about 30 days.
Natural softening method: close planting and semi-shading softening. Autumn sowing celery was planted in clusters according to the plant and row spacing of 7cm × 7cm, with 4 plants per clump. Soil 20~28cm is cultivated around the border, surrounded by straw, Reed or thatch. Before the celery was closed, the celery was ploughed for 2 to 3 times, and the available nitrogen fertilizer was applied for 3 to 4 times to promote the tillering and leaf growth of celery, cover the top and seal the row as soon as possible, make the petiole grow in the dark environment and achieve the purpose of petiole softening.
