Winter Disease Control and Control measures for High yield Citrus Diseases in the coming year
The main diseases of citrus include scab, anthracnose, foot rot, powdery mildew, soot, sunburn, gum disease and so on.
Citrus diseases
1. Agricultural prevention and control of scab: ① combined with pruning in winter and spring to cut off diseased branches and leaves of citrus; ② carried out quarantine to prevent the introduction of external diseases. Chemical control: 77% Kesha wettable powder 800 times solution, or 30% copper dicarboxylic acid wettable powder 400 times 500 times solution for prevention and control.
2. Anthrax: agricultural control: ① strengthens cultivation management, strengthens tree potential, improves disease resistance; ② does a good job of fertilizer and water management, pest control, anti-freezing, sunburn prevention and other work, and avoids mechanical damage, cuts off disease and insect branches and long branches, clears ground fallen leaves and burns them. Chemical control: 0.5: 0.5: 100 Bordeaux solution; or 0.3% Baume stone sulfur mixture; or 70% methyl topiramate 600 times 1000 times for control.
3. Foot rot: agricultural control: ① chooses to use disease-resistant rootstocks and appropriately improve the grafting interface; ② replaces the rootstocks of susceptible trees; ③ does a good job in orchard drainage and trunk pest control to avoid mechanical injuries; ④ strengthens the top fruit to protect the lower part of the crown. Chemical control: the method of shallow scraping and deep coating can be used; gently scrape off the base soil and rough skin to expose the disease spot with a knife, and then use a sharp knife to carve the disease to the depth of xylem (1 cm apart), and then choose 50% methyl thiophanate wettable powder 100 times; or 50% carbendazim wettable powder 100 times smear.
4. Powdery mildew: agricultural control: ① pruning and removing diseased branches in winter, cutting off long branches of victims in other seasons, cutting off over-dense branches to maintain ventilation and light; ② strengthen management, increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and organic fertilizer to improve the disease resistance of citrus trees. Chemical control: 45% crystal stone sulfur mixture 250 × 400 times, or 50% methyl topiramate 1000 times solution can be selected for prevention and control.
5. Soot disease: agricultural prevention and control: ① reasonable pruning to make orange orchard ventilated and transparent; ② to clear the garden in winter to remove soot disease; ③ to control whitefly, scale and aphids to prevent induction. Chemical control: you can choose 70% methyl topiramate wettable powder 600-1000 times liquid and so on.
6. Sunburn: ① pasted paper, bagged or smeared lime paste on the citrus around the crown; ② maintained soil moisture and improved the microclimate in the garden.
7. Gummy disease: agricultural control: ① selected disease-resistant rootstocks; ② paid attention to drainage and irrigation, increased application of organic fertilizer to avoid unreasonable intercropping and timely thinning to reduce the humidity of citrus orchards; ③ controlled gibberries to avoid damage to citrus trees.
