At present, sugar orange has entered the coloring period. It is suggested that fruit growers should take the following management measures according to the actual situation of their own orchards to ensure a bumper harvest.

Sugar orange management

First, increase the weight of a single fruit, promote coloring, increase the sweetness of sugar orange, improve quality, and prevent pre-harvest fruit drop: 0.01% Daguang tomorrow Fengsu 7ml + 98% potassium dihydrogen phosphate 30g in 30 jin of water when sugar orange has just changed color (with yellow shadow), it is sprayed 2-3 times every 10 days.

Second, strengthen the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests: at present, the main diseases of sugar orange are anthracnose, scab, fruit stem rot; insect pests include rust spiders (black fruits), red spiders, fruit-sucking night moths, and bugs. These diseases and insect pests can easily cause pre-harvest fruit drop of sugar orange. Alternately use 1000 times of 25% prochloraz + 1000 times of thiazox + 1000 times of sulfur suspension or 70 times of jianjituojin + 1000 times of awei ·high chlorine, spray once every 10 days, but stop spraying one month before harvest.

Third, sugar oranges with too many results and drooping close to the ground should be propped up in time so as not to get sick.

Fourth, increase the application of organic fertilizer: according to the calculation of yield, orange trees with high yield of sugar for more than 5 years generally use 100 jin of cake fertilizer, 200 jin of pig, cow manure and 50 jin of superphosphate per mu, composting and ripening first and applying them in early November.

Fifth, control winter shoot root cutting to promote flowers: from the middle to late November, the orchard will be completely reclaimed, and the roots will be exposed and dried properly. The soil can be turned over with a hoe. When hoeing, pay attention to shallow hoeing near the tree trunk. If you encounter thick roots, you should immediately stop forcibly turning the soil. The place far from the tree trunk should hoe 15-25 cm deep, do not break the soil after hoe, and let it be exposed to the sun for a period of time. At the same time, it is appropriate to make water with a little curl of sugar orange leaves at noon on a sunny day.

Sixth, rodent prevention and fruit protection: rodent prevention should be done around the sugar orange orchard, poison bait should be set up to trap and kill rats.
