The winter temperature is low, the sunshine is short, and there is a lack of green materials, especially in the north. Although rabbits are more resistant to heat, the cold tolerance is limited, and the colder it is, the better. If the temperature drops below 5 ℃, the rabbit will feel uncomfortable. In order to adapt to the low temperature, rabbits have to strengthen their own metabolism to produce more heat to maintain body temperature. Therefore, the amount of feed in winter should be increased appropriately. Rabbits are most afraid of sudden cooling, especially cold air sudden attack, easy to get sick, such as colds, rhinitis, diarrhea and so on. Therefore, appropriate heat preservation measures should be taken in winter.

1. Close the doors and windows, leave only appropriate windows or vents for ventilation, and seal the north-facing windows with plastic film. Especially at night, doors and windows must be closed to prevent the attack of thieves. During the day, you can open south-facing doors and windows for ventilation, depending on the weather. Listen to the weather forecast and close the doors and windows in advance when a cold wave comes.

two。 Keep the house dry, the rabbit is more uncomfortable with low temperature and high humidity. Rabbits like to be clean and dry, and the optimum relative humidity is 60%. No matter in high temperature summer or low temperature winter, the humidity of rabbit house is not too large and beyond the range, which is disadvantageous to the growth, health and productivity of rabbits.

3. Increase the amount of feed and increase the level of feed energy so that the rabbit can generate more heat.

4. Drink warm water to reduce the heat consumption of the rabbit body; mix the material with hot water to increase the heat energy for the rabbit.

5. Cushion hay or shavings for rabbits to lie down for heat preservation. It is better to add cushions that are not contaminated with rabbit hair.

6. Keep warm. Heating with far-infrared plate has a good effect, but it costs a lot of money, and coal stove (with furnace tube) can also be used for heating. No matter what kind of heating method is used, the temperature is required to be more stable, the temperature difference should not be too large, and the temperature should not change frequently, otherwise it is difficult for the rabbit to adapt.
