Five key points of keeping sheep warm, keeping fat, keeping fetus and keeping health in winter
Keeping warm: the cold resistance of sheep is strong, but the temperature of sheep house is not less than 0 ℃ in winter, the temperature of lamb house is not less than 8 ℃, and the delivery room is 10: 18 ℃. Check and repair the sheep house as soon as possible before the winter, and repair the roof and walls to prevent wind and snow leakage. The sheepfold in the wild should use corn straw to set up a wind barrier outside the north wall. Closed sheepfold, should be in the door, window hanging wind grass curtain. The simple sheep raising greenhouse can extend the eaves forward and set up a plastic greenhouse covered with grass curtains. When it is too cold, you should light a stove in the sheep shed to keep warm.
Keep warm in the sheep house
Protect the herd: winter herding can make the sheep eat suitable forage grass and breathe fresh air, which is helpful to strengthen the physique and exercise the ability to resist cold and disease, which is the main measure to protect the flock. Grazing should choose sunny slopes with good water sources and sunny slopes. In early winter, some grasses and wild vegetables have not yet withered, so we should pay close attention to grazing and let the sheep eat as much grass and wild vegetables as possible when it is warmer at noon on a sunny day. In the depths of winter, sheep are converted to house feeding. Special management should be carried out for weak sheep, such as feeding succulent feed, increasing concentrate feed, strengthening physical exercise and so on.
Keeping fat: provide sheep with high quality hay and crop straw, replenish soybean meal, corn, dried melon, wheat bran and other concentrates in time to ensure that each sheep can eat 200 Mel 250 grams of concentrate every day. Each ram and ewe reserved for seed is fed 500 grams 600 grams of concentrate per day. Provide 2 ℃ water 3 times a day, preferably brine, with a water temperature of about 18 min. In the deep winter, even if the weather is very cold, let the sheep go out for exercise at noon on a sunny day, in order to strengthen their physique and improve their cold resistance. It is very important for ewes to keep fat. In early pregnancy, rations can be composed of 50% alfalfa, 30% green hay, 15% silage corn and 5% concentrate. In the later stage of pregnancy, the rations are composed of 1.5 kg of hay, 1.5 kg of silage and 0.45 kg of concentrate.
Fetus protection: rams and ewes are raised separately to prevent rams from chasing and climbing over pregnant ewes. Pregnant ewes should have a separate enclosure, the door of the enclosure should be as wide as possible, and the number of raising in the house should be appropriate to ensure that each pregnant sheep occupies 2 to 2.5 square meters to prevent pregnant sheep from being squeezed accidentally. In order to provide more concentrate and light salt water to pregnant sheep, warm water must be used, ice water and frost grass should be avoided, and reasonable feeding should be ensured. It is necessary to strengthen daily management to prevent fighting, fighting, collision and other behaviors within the sheep. The grazing journey should not be too far, do not take steep slopes and dangerous roads, avoid artificial chase, and prevent pregnant sheep from startling, jumping, falling and slipping.
Health care: sheep are prone to pox disease, foot-and-mouth disease, streptococcal disease, dysentery, colibacillosis and other diseases in winter. In late autumn and early winter, sheep should be vaccinated in time. After a fall of grazing, sheep may be infected with parasites such as tapeworm and Fasciola hepatica. Therefore, sheep should be dewormed before winter, and the commonly used drugs are trichlorfon, ivermectin, thiodichlorophenol, quinolone, Miantailing and so on. Usually, we should often clean the enclosure, keep it clean and dry, remove feces in time, carry out harmless treatment through accumulation and fermentation, screen and deal with the residue, and those that have been contaminated can no longer be used. Pay attention to often brush the sheep group table and coat, in order to promote blood circulation and improve body health.
