Clear the garden, scrape, block holes, prune and spray to control jujube diseases and insect pests in winter
Jujube pruning
First, clear the garden: jujube rust, green blind stink bugs, jujube moths and other diseases and insects overwinter in dead branches and leaves or weeds, so after jujube trees have fallen leaves, they should clear the garden in time, clean up the dead branches, fallen leaves, rotten fruits and weeds in the garden, and burn them in concentration, or bury them deep in the ground.
Second, digging insect pupae and cocoons: grasp the habit of overwintering of peach heart borer and jujube step koji concentrated in the soil around the trunk, combined with deep turning of the soil, pick up overwintering pupae and cocoons before and after soil thawing, and centrally eliminate them, which can effectively reduce insect pests in the coming year.
Third, scrape the old bark: the temperature under the bark is 1-3 ℃ higher than the outside temperature. The bark and cracks are the overwintering places for jujube armyworm, red spider and other pests. By scraping the old skin, not only diseases and insect pests can be eliminated, but also tree growth can be stimulated. Skinning is carried out from defoliation to sprouting. When shaving, spread plastic sheeting under the tree so that the bark and pupae can be collected, burned or buried deeply.
Fourth, whitening: painting white on the tree trunk can not only protect against cold but also prevent diseases and insect pests. The formula of whitening agent: 12 parts of quicklime (boiled with cold water), 2 or 3 parts of sulfur mixture, 2 parts of salt (boiled with hot hydration), 36 parts of water and proper amount of glue. Lime and sulfur can prevent frost and sunburn, but also prevent diseases and pests. Salt helps lime seep into the bark, maintain moisture, prevent lime cracking and flaking, and add glue to enhance the adhesion of the whitening agent. The whitening part should be high, and all branches that scrape old skin should be painted white to prevent dry tips.
Fifth, blocking the tree hole: the old jujube tree hole is easy to breed diseases and insects, and it is also an overwintering place for jujube armyworm and other pests. In winter, 10 parts of clay, 3 parts of chopped wheat straw, a little insecticide, water and mud can be used to block the tree hole to kill the pupae of overwintering insects.
6. Pruning insect branches and cocoons: combined with winter shearing, cut off insect branches harmed by tortoise wax scale. If the harm is serious, you can use a wire brush to remove the overwintering worm and cut off the overwintering cocoon of the yellow diamondback moth.
7. Spraying chemicals: because of the wax shell on the surface of the tortoise wax scale, it can be eliminated by spraying diesel emulsion. Before the jujube tree germinates, the whole tree should be evenly and meticulously sprayed with 5 Baomedu stone sulfur mixture, which can control red spider, pear orchard scale and other pests.
