The temperature regulation of vegetables in the greenhouse in winter is the most important, but some farmers only pay attention to the air temperature, but ignore the ground temperature, especially watering in winter is easy to reduce the ground temperature, which will cause some damage to the root system and affect the growth of vegetables in the greenhouse. Therefore, in cold and cold days, we should pay attention to a few points when watering vegetables in the greenhouse:

Watering vegetables in greenhouse

First, small water irrigation or spray. At low temperature, the evaporation of vegetables in the greenhouse is slow, and the water demand is reduced, so the watering amount should be small, and the interval time can be prolonged. Avoid flooding to avoid low temperature and high humidity leading to vegetable retting. In the first two days after watering, the humidity in the shed increased, so it should be reasonably ventilated and cooled to prevent diseases. Ventilation is usually carried out when the temperature is high at noon.

Second, arrange the watering time reasonably. The watering of vegetables in greenhouse in winter should be around noon, after 10:00 in the morning and before 3pm in the afternoon. In this period, the greenhouse temperature is higher and the side effect of watering is the least. It is necessary to avoid watering in the morning and evening to avoid causing freezing damage to vegetables. Well water should be used as much as possible, because the temperature of well water is high, which can reduce the stimulation to vegetables.

Third, look at the sky and water flexibly. According to the weather conditions, master the principle of "appropriate more watering in sunny days, little or no watering in cloudy days, and avoid watering in windy and snowy days". When the weather changes from sunny to overcast, the amount of water should be gradually reduced, and the interval time should be lengthened appropriately; when the weather changes from cloudy to sunny, the amount of water will change from small to large, and the interval time will be shortened accordingly.

Fourth, watering should focus on: the temperature difference between different parts of the greenhouse is large, and the amount of water should also be different. In the south of the greenhouse and near the furnace, flue and other heat sources, the amount of soil moisture and evaporation near vegetables can be appropriately larger; the temperature on the east and west sides of the greenhouse and the north is low, the sunshine time is also short, and the amount of water can be appropriately less.
