Feed large quantities of bean cakes or peanut cakes:

Many pig farmers feed a large number of bean cakes or peanut cakes during the pig fattening stage, thinking that pigs can grow faster and their meat can be firm. In fact, this is wrong. Pigs in the fattening stage focus on growing fat rather than muscle, so there is no need for a large amount of protein feed. If a large amount of protein feed is fed in the fattening stage, the pig must remove the nitrogen-containing part of the protein in the gastrointestinal tract, and the other nitrogen-free parts can be converted into fat, but denitrification requires more energy. In addition, bean cake or peanut cake is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, which can make pig fat soft and yellowing, which will not make the meat strong, but reduce the meat quality.

Feed pigs with cooked feed:

Many pig farmers still feed their pigs with cooked feed and think that pigs can easily grow oil when they eat cooked food, but it is not so. After the feed is cooked, almost all the vitamins are destroyed, and the protein in the feed is aged and denatured. According to statistics, 20% of the nutrients of the feed will be lost in the process of cooking, and the nutritional loss of the green feed is even greater, such as in the stew, put in the pot for a long time, and when feeding, there will be nitrite poisoning in pigs, resulting in death.

Fill the belly with thin soup:

Some pig farmers feed their pigs with water, with a feed-water ratio of 1 ∶ 8 to 10, or even thinner, and supply water to pigs, which is very disadvantageous to pig fattening. The harm of feeding water to pigs: increase the energy needed for water metabolism of pigs, increase the burden of kidney; dilute the concentration of digestive juice, which is not conducive to digestive juice secretion; accelerate the speed of feed through the digestive tract, thus reducing feed digestibility. In order to increase pig feed intake and make pigs eat more and grow faster, it is generally recommended to feed thick porridge with a feed-water ratio of 1 ∶ 2 or raw and wet mixture with a feed-water ratio of 1 ∶ 1. In addition, adequate drinking water should be provided.

Hogwash is the most economical to feed pigs:

At present, there are still a small number of pig farmers feeding pigs with hogwash to cooperate with restaurants. After being transported home, the hogwash is stored in the pool for use. In fact, hogwash contains a variety of pathogenic microorganisms, affecting the growth of pigs, some are even fatal, in addition, hogwash storage, a large number of pathogenic microorganisms multiply, spread through flies, can bring losses, to put an end to feeding hogwash.

Add antibiotics to the feed at will:

In order to control the occurrence of diseases and promote the growth of pigs, some farmers indiscriminately add antibiotics without a clear understanding of the action mechanism of antibiotics, which poses a threat to pork safety and human health. The majority of pig farmers should establish the concept of safe pig farming and add antibiotics.
