In the cultivation of edible fungi, there are often hyphae that do not eat food after germination, yellowing and shrinking, which seriously affects the efficiency of edible fungi. The causes and control methods of mycelium atrophy of edible fungi are introduced as follows:

Mycelium atrophy of edible fungi

1. High temperature burning bacteria: the temperature in the culture material was higher than 30 ℃ because of the high air temperature during sowing period, the thick culture material and the unstable decrease of material temperature after fermentation. Control methods: the sowing period of edible fungi should avoid the high temperature period, and when sowing, the material temperature should be stabilized below 25 ℃. After sowing, if the mycelium shrinks due to high temperature, the hyphae should be turned over and ventilated again, and then the humidity of the culture material should be adjusted and sown again.

Second, there is ammonia in the material: when the reactor is built, the nitrogen fertilizer is added too much, or the nitrogen fertilizer is added too late (only when the pile is turned over in the later stage). After the bacteria are sown, there is ammonia in the culture material. Prevention and control methods: when adding urea and other chemical fertilizers, appropriate amount should be added when the pile is built. Found that there is ammonia in the material, open the doors and windows in time, and spray 2% formaldehyde solution to turn the material, wait for no ammonia smell, and then re-sow.

Third, the culture material is too dry: when sowing, the culture material is dry, if the climate is dry again, after the mycelium germinates, the food grows slowly, weak and shrinks. Control method: the material surface can be covered with a layer of wet straw (soaked with 0.5% lime water) to make the hyphae germinate again. In case of dry weather, close the doors and windows 3 days after sowing. It is better to use layer sowing plus cover sowing.

Fourth, too much water in the culture material: the culture material contains too much water, and when the soil is covered with high temperature, heavy water is sprayed and there is no timely ventilation, so that the mycelium shrinks due to insufficient oxygen supply and decreased vitality. Prevention and control methods: when stacking, pay attention to control moisture. If the material is found to contain too much water, it should be spread out, slightly dried, and then stacked. The water content of the fermented material should be 60% and 65%. In the later stage, the hyphae atrophied caused by spraying heavy water, and the hyphae could resume their growth after ventilation. The total thickness of the soil cover on the bed surface is not less than 44.5cm.

Fifth, the quality of the strain is poor: when the strain is heated on the way to purchase, the mycelium vitality is reduced; the strain is not used in time, the strain is aging, and the growth potential becomes weak. After sowing, the adverse environment will lead to mycelium atrophy. Control methods: select suitable culture materials to cultivate bacteria, bacteria should have strong mycelium and strong germination; when buying seeds, avoid high temperature weather; do not need aging bacteria.

Sixth, insect pests: mainly mites pests, appeared in the early stage, not easy to see with the naked eye, mainly to harm the edible fungus hyphae, so that the hyphae broke and shrunk. Pests can be brought into composting and soil mulching, which will cause serious damage. Control methods: comprehensive control of mites and pests. Make the post-fermentation of the culture material, cover the soil for insecticidal treatment. In addition, spraying mushroom powder into the material before sowing can play a role in prevention and control. In cultivation, pests are found and insecticides are used as early as possible.
