In order to improve the benefit of sheep farmers and the survival rate of lambs, it is necessary to concentrate breeding and lambing. On this basis, the method of keeping lambs in five stages of mutton sheep is put forward.

Lamb

1. Maternal energy reserve period: 90 days before delivery, we should not only graze and catch fat, but also put in green hay to promote ewes to gain fat and ensure the production of strong lambs. This period is a period of grass transformation, we should pay attention to weather changes, strictly prevent pregnant sheep from eating frost grass to cause abortion, in supplementary feeding, pay attention to the addition of trace elements and vitamins. At the same time, let the ewes run less, feed water frequently, and replenish salt.

2. The period of physical protection: 50 days before delivery, mainly by house feeding, proper exercise and forage. Observe the changes of ewes' breasts and feed them as appropriate. Perinatal period (10 days before delivery, 10 days after delivery) let ewes exercise properly to avoid antepartum and postpartum paralysis, pay attention to changes in fetal position and prevent dystocia.

3. Physical consumption period: after lambing, the physique of ewes decreased sharply, while supplementing concentrate feed, increased the amount of root tuber, succulent feed, vitamins, calcium and phosphorus, increased the proportion of milk fat, and promoted the development of lambs.

4. Transitional feeding period: 60 days before weaning, the lambs were domesticated and reared mainly by feeding grass, and the ratio of forage to forage was 3 ∶ 0.3. shredded carrots were added when feeding full price feed.

5. Independent feeding period: lambs are graded and grouped in order to facilitate feeding. Prepare palatable, digestible and nutritious forage for weaned lambs. Domesticate lambs to ensure their quality and quantity to enter the breeding period.
