Last Updated: 2024/11/06, There are many reasons for hyacinth leaf wilting, if it is caused by improper temperature, it needs to be adjusted to a range suitable for its growth; if it is caused by inappropriate light conditions, it needs to be given sufficient light, but it needs shade at noon in summer; if it is not pruned, it needs to be pruned in time after flowering.

1. Adjust the temperature

Reason: too high or too low temperature will affect plant growth, too high temperature, higher than 35 ℃, will inhibit flower bud differentiation; when the temperature is too low, flower buds will be damaged, leaves yellowing or wilting.

Solution: during the flowering stage, the plant should be placed indoors for 15-18 ℃, and the flower bud differentiation during the growing period, and the suitable temperature should be about 25 ℃. After flowering, the treated bulb newspaper can be wrapped up and refrigerated in the refrigerator, and be careful not to put it in the frozen layer.

2. Suitable for lighting

Reason: hyacinths like the sun and need plenty of light to grow. When the light intensity is above 5000Lx, the light is too weak, which will lead to short plants, thin buds, yellowing and wilting leaves; too strong light will burn leaves and cause leaves to wilt.

Solution: summer hot noon, can be shaded to prevent burns, other time will be placed in the balcony and other sunny places, if placed in the indoor shade, incandescent lamp can be used in about 1m to make up the light.

3. Trim and save

Reason: after the flowering period, the decline of flowers and the wilting, yellowing and shedding of flowers and leaves appear, which are normal phenomena in the process of growth.

Solution: after flowering, if you do not want to reflower, you can directly discard the plant and buy it again; if you want to reflower, you can trim off the stems and leaves of the plant, place it in a cool and ventilated place, and put it back into the pot after drying in winter.
